GT4 G81 Transmission Failure

I'll join the picked up group and say all felt normal. The gears felt tighter but that's to be expected with a new transmission. My drive home was about 35-40 miles so I had the opportunity to go through the pattern frequently. My SA did come through with a nice Porsche "Swag Bag" backpack so all is well in my camp.........Phil

/\ that Blue Sapphire looks amazing with PCCB's!
My GT4 is at the Porsche South Bay right now getting the transmission swap, I'll get it back tomorrow. I also requested a DME to scan to see if I've induced any during my ownership, when I bought the car it has some Range 1's, fingers crossed. I'll have to say the base Macan "Sport" loaner is a really nice daily driver!

/\ Please add me to your Facebook group - Brian Kotyk, by the way I live in Venice. I'll be at the car show Saturday at the PEC too. I'm not sure who's working on my car but I hope they're taking good care of it. Next time should I request that Mauro works on it? The person who changed my fluid dinged my PCCB caliper a few weeks ago there : (

I had an oil/filter change and brake fluid flush yesterday at the dealer, and talked to the Service Rep about the tranny swap. He said it could be done at any time, whether in or out of warranty. He was not averse to me waiting a while, and of course to putting in a new clutch if I wanted that at a later time / higher mileage so I could save on the labor. Since all is good now (at less than 12k miles), I think I'll delay the tranny swap at this time. Does anyone see any downside to waiting?
As the Service Rep returned my car, I saw that they had draped the seat with a neat seat wrap, black with red trim, as well as a red steering wheel cover. He asked if I wanted to keep them and, naturally, I said yes. Did anyone else receive these items?

shifting stiffness solved by dealer, with grease...
Yeah, I use'em just for good gas mileage to/from races. I took mine back to the shop and they said all they needed to do was to grease some fittings, and now it shifts fine.

My June 2016 production GT4 with less than 3k miles is currently having its transmission replaced. Porsche said no recall, but just wanted to replace. I hope to notice no difference afterward as the car was superlative before turning-in for replacement. Has always been my experience that once you "tinker" with the original setup, things tend to be never really the same. Who knows, as this is my first Porsche ownership.

Into the dealer today for the trans recall. Got a Macan loaner. So much for my BMW SUV.
