That's insane ! Glad you're getting it back . Hope you were compensated . Still think this link would be good to share with Autoblog, ect. Bet all of a sudden transmissions would misteraly appear .

there is a production issue with the transmissions. U really want "rushed" transmissions to show up and get shoved into your gt4? If my 3rd gear goes I will be calling every porsche dealer in the area and whoever has the most interesting loaner will have the joy of baby sitting my car for a few months.

So glad I have her back! Drives awesome. Question, have you all been breaking in the new transmissions?

Glad to hear you have the car back. I'd most likely drive the car for about 1000 miles and do a fluid change on the transmission.

+1 You should talk to Porsche customer care. They treated me more than fairly when my 3.8RS was out for 3 months following a clutch explosion.

All those of you that have waited 2-3 months for the transmission, did you guys get compensation from Porsche either financial or extended warranty?

Lord that is a long wait. I would keep the car in my garage even if I can't drive it while I wait for the transmission. Even if it is dead, I can still see it everyday, like a stuffed pet

Run it like you did last season & see if same thing happens. That's our game plan...

Somehow got mine all fixed in a 23 day turnaround. Maybe it's my Atlanta location. Jim Ellis did me right and I drove it like I stole it all the way home.

Crazy that Porsche can't manage their inventory in a professional way that ensures cars waiting the longest get repaired first.

Embarassing, really...

Glad your car is up and running though. New trans feels the same?

I was just as surprised and so was my service adviser. Maybe a batch is finally coming out.

Car feels great! Can't wait to get it back on the track.

data base should have a added column "time taken to replace trans" would be helpful
