GT4 G81 Transmission Failure

I know of a GT4 that started grinding around 3rd gear changes, and it was driven hard on track, but 3rd never failed and the transmission was eventually replaced anyway due to the grinding. So, a seemingly separate issue. When 3rd breaks, it is without any warning.

it's now 22 total, but two are clubsports. Out of the 20 street cars let's see how many last all 3 days

I have an April 2016 build, 3700 miles 4 track days and getting ready to add two more this weekend at VIR. Am weeding my way through this thread and to the database, but not all the way through yet.

Ok, I'll keep tracking and if it gets worse I'll take it to the dealer and ask for a new tranny.

Thanks, I did not see it on the COTA web site. If my schedule is not rudely interrupted, I WILL be there. Is there a link to the days' schedule somewhere? I can't find the day schedules on COTA, PCA or the Pirelli World Challenge sites.
