I'd have to see this to believe it. Personally, I wouldn't bet that the GT4 is (much) faster than a properly set up 996 GT3 on Motons.

Yeah, probably not smart of me to repeat what Thomas said as comparing which incredible Porsche is better / faster than the other is like saying blondes prettier than red heads. Or, can be insulting at worse. Sorry.

It does really amaze me that pro drivers like him and race teams think the GT4 can hold its own with cars costing twice as much. Frankly, it's a lot more car than I bargained for - we all got way more value than we paid. Thanks, Andy - keep the hits coming!!!

My GT4 smoked my ZR1 on the street the other day. Had my buddy drive the ZR1 (very good driver) and at the third honk, we both take off.

He quickly starts pulling bus lengths on me, but I chant "GT4, GT4, GT4" and immediately I start to pull back. As I'm pulling away from him, I see a P1, 918, and LaFerrari up ahead. I see the fear in their eyes as I'm coming up fast. I hear all 3 of them downshift and the shriek of their engines as they start taking off. I'm still gaining on them.

The freeway ends and there is a long left hand 270 degree sweeper. I see them smile from my rearview mirror as they think they will take me into the long corner. Think again suckers. All 3 of them spin out trying to keep up with my GT4 as I laugh heartily. Luckily, they didn't damage their cars as they stopped short of the guardrails.

I call and leave a voice message for AP thanking him for building the best car on planet Earth. Long live the GT4. I then go for an ice cream cone to celebrate my victory. With sprinkles.

I wonder if Thomas's comments were based on the PDK version of the GT4 that was seen testing last year, not the production version of the GT4 with 385HP and the 6 speed manual.

I seriously doubt that the current production GT4 can break 7:25's at the ring (991GT3 laptime) given the 90HP deficit and the lack of PDK.
