Is PTS available now? I'm 7th on the list with the Ft Worth dealer.

18" and 19" wheels will clear the 380mm steel rotors. 410mm PCCB's will require 20".

That will depend on the suspension geometry as well. With the 991 GT3, 18" wheels will not work. And it takes some manipulation to get 19" wheels to work.

I really hope 18" wheels will fit the GT4. I don't get the fascination with 20" wheels. Are they building a show car, or a track car?

Dependence on te 20" wheel is enough to keep me out. How do we figure this out?

I also would like to know if there is a function that would keep my ham handed *** from grabbing second gear after winding out third.

18 inch wheels only offer tires that are nearly 2 inches shorter than the 27.3 inch tall 20 inch tires.

19 inch wheels get you closer to the 27 inch height but in tires that are too wide for the front (265's).

Anybody figured this tire situation out yet? Otherwise we may be stuck with 20 inch sport cups.

Are shorter tires an issue if they are shorter all the way around? ABS should be able to cope as long as there is not a height mismatch front to rear.

It may look funny, though.

Club Blau looked incredible in Daytona.

I am not partial to metallics in PTS. As you can see, I tend to prefer the historic/vintage colors...although some in my list (like Voodoo, Riviera and Maritime) are not that 'old' in historical terms at Porsche!

Good luck to you, Green Lantern & others in your quest for a gt4 in PTS. I approve & support your efforts 100%! Keep us posted if you get the opportunity to do it!

Notice that 'Acid Blue', color code 354, was being tested by PAG as of 9/2014. That color, or a shade or two from it according to Pete Stout, turned out to be the 'Club Blau' selected for the PCA's 60th Anniversary Edition! And as I said before, it would not surprise to see 'Acid Blue'/code 354 on the approved PTS list sometime in MY2016!

Good point. I meant to originally say 18" May work and 19" will work but either will clear 380mm rotors. The 991 GT3 manipulation is simply bending a bracket by hand slightly to clear.

Anyone know how much PTS will be roughly?

Im think Voodoo Blue, Fashion/Dolphin Grey, but I think the GT4 will look stunning in Grey Black.

Anyone else know or are familiar with the PTS grey/white colours because when you google fashion or dolphin grey they all similar.

Rule of thumb on the wheel to brake ratio: wheels typically need to be four inches larger than the brake disc. Since the GT4 is running big calipers on 15" discs, a minimum of 19" wheel must be used. It's not just for looks.

Just looking at the images on line, the stock calipers barely clear the 20's. Finding a 19 to clear would be difficult, IMHO.

18" wheels will clear the brakes, but the problem on the 991GT3 is the lower control arm bolt. It rides VERY close to the barrel of the 20" wheels. You can run 19" wheels if you flip and modify the bolt so it doesn't rub. 18" won't work with the 991 GT3 rear suspension. It will be interesting to see if 18" will work on the GT4. I wouldn't rule it out. We just need to see once cars are delivered.

Cayman R is a great little porsche. I would not look away from buying one especially if the prices get lower.
