I think AP mentioned that the GT cars (non-GT2 if it continues, of course) will remain NA for awhile... I would assume that means GT4 and GT3... For homologation, if they don't want to use turbos, they are forced to keep the GT cars NA, and I imagine that there are so few (models and volume) that it's not an issue for fleet numbers, but that's not my area of expertise...

One year of GT4s will cover homologation for 5 seasons of racing. The only homologation argument for keeping a later version of the GT4 as an NA 6 would be if they revise the chassis again and want to race the next iteration as well.
But their LMP is currently a turbo 4 so who knows what they will do in the long term.

Yup, I'd say, by then, both the GT4 and the GT3 / RS would have gone turbo (merging the GT2 and GT3 911 lines), as well. F1 cars are turbo. Ferrari will all be turbo (almost there already). The entire Porsche fleet will be turbo (as of the 991.2, it'll be almost there, as well).
It's unfortunate, and sad, but I see it as inevitable.

If anyone is interested, a 2016 Cayman GT4 has become available. I'd be happy to help if anyone is interested. Please call me at (609)945-1500 and ask for Michael. Thanks!

Wait til everything goes electric, we'll be lamenting our turbos going bye bye!
I'm looking forward to it, if they can truly make one that will survive a good track weekend and weighs 3000lbs. Electric will bring a whole new order of power and control. Drive a Tesla, you will be very surprised.
