http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...t4-first-look/

Pricing at $84,600 USD + $995 destination....6k cheaper than I was expecting!

Sounds like they used a lot of GT3 components which is awesome! I'm even more excited for this car now!

I'm continually impressed with how Porsche bargain prices their high performance cars (except, maybe the Turbo and Turbo S). Looking forward to a repeat of that with the 991 GT3 RS.

Wait a minute, are those Acid Green gauge needles? Because if so, then I'm even more impressed (it's the little things that get me).

(Or is it just an artifact of the low res image?)

So happy that I cancelled my GTS order for this! Looks like it will be living up to the hype....can't wait to get behind the wheel.

A very interesting interview with AP with England's Evo:

Pay attention to what AP says about the 'new' rear suspension pieces. I think this will prove to be one of the greatest improvements to date on the Cayman/Boxster platform...and might be 'epic'!

No, it's not 'Acid Green'. It's 'gt3' yellow!

Yes, first time we see it on the 981 or 991, although it should be the new option 'SportDesign' steering wheel coming up on the 991.2 face lift so we will see more of it in all 991's pretty soon - and probably regular 981's too!

It's also great to see no CL wheel on the gt4. And the five bolt design wheel is similar to the 991 gt3 wheel...and will be the envy of many current 991 gt3 owners that would have preferred to forgo of the maintenance-intensive Center Locking wheels they got on their gt model!

Also note that we don't expect the Cayman 981 to be face lifted until MY2017. This allows buyers of the GT4 later this Spring some depreciation 'relief', since they are not going to see the facelift for another 1 1/2 years!

Eduardo

Eduardo,

Any ideas on PTS and interior customization for this?

RS green and all alcantara interior would be awesome here!

Absolutely stunning - and it is priced very well! I wonder what the Boxster version of the GT4 will look like.
I am assuming that the carbon bucket seats will be optional?

Well done Porsche!

Agreed! First time I have even considered a potential Spyder replacement. I have been missing that manual!
