i was talking about the spoiler (the Spyder automatic lift one - stationary on the GT4), not the wing.

Good eye, we might just get the automatic one this time around, as the small ducktail hasn't been seen on any prototypes.

I ran by the hotel the Porsche folks frequent when testing cars here in Colorado. It wasn’t there last night.

I’m going to check again today.

Maybe... but the latest Spyder has been seen with it... it's not a ducky as the 981... but it it more substantial the the standard (Base, S & GTS). I like the look of it as its flows better with the tail light shape. Looks more natural deployed as well.

I have to question it as well. IIRC the GT3 did not have less torque between 1500 - 3500 rpm

It isn't. It's a 982. Just being pedantic...

It will have neither 718 or Boxster/Cayman... The word "Boxster/Cayman" is no where on the 981... Porsche is trying to separate the Spyder/GT4 from the rest of the range.

These images seem off for a spot.

Clearly take from outside of the car and that second shot is from very low, like below the rear light low. That's not hanging out of your average car low. And the reflection looks like a truck.

I feel like you're answering a question I didn't ask. I mean... the new GT3 doesn't say 911 or Carrera on it either but it's still a 991.2 right?

The GT4 will be a 982.

Don't forget the Porsche math. 718 = 982. 982 is the internal designation, 718 is the model name.
If rumors are to be believed, the next GT4 may indeed have more in common with the 981 than the 982.
We should know soon.

Yep, and it won't have a fixed roof.
