Whoopsy, did you visit with our mutual friends Otto and Manuel, or is only one of them there again this time?

The best thing they are going to do though is arrange a Ring laptime in this new car - but bolt on a set of these new uber Cup 2 R's and consequently go +20s / lap faster than the old 981 GT4 did, and everyone will go OMG IT"S AWESOME and completely ignore the fact that 90% of the laptime gain has come from the tyres.

These Ring times can be the ultimate marketing genius (just look at the new GT3RS).

i cant see them making the RS. And if they did it would been same engine but with PDK and dog tounge door pulls etc. Probably carbon front fenders and hood too.

Whoopsy just said the RS is going to be a completely different car compared to the GT4. 9K redline is not something to be trifled with.

Whoopsy said this would be the best car coming out of Weissach in awhile , and that's including the new GT2....I don't think that the 4 liter, 7700 rpm car would be able to get it to that level...

I thought I read somewhere that the RS would have a new shared mid-engined body unit?....possibly the new 992 will be mid-engined?
Or am I imagining things?

[quote=Whoopsy]Engine will be bespoke to the car(s) for a while..[/quote

Porsche going back to NA engines in the base cayman or even 911 once the mission e is released and offsets the total emissions for the brand?

+1 A full fat 500hp GT4rs would be just a multilink suspension away from street RSR. If they did that it would be $$$$$ and they would probably only do it as a 911 anyway just for branding....

Do the lucky 7's come with a grand prize of a doubleshot of espresso like the 76 gas stations used to give out in 98-1 odds? Or is it just what you saw and can't confirm?

Phew, if Otto's not there, then I would be worried. Rudolf is such a bore...

But seriously, can someone please explain the more subtle riddles in the lastest answers - my proficiency in the language doesn't quite cut it... (especially the one about the drug-abusing horse... What?)

I'll give it a shot for you.

In the US (I suppose Canada too), "420" is slang for cannabis/marijuana/smoking marijauna. So when he wrote cannabis eating horses, it was a clue for 420HP.

Lottery game. Match up some number of 7's to win money. In this case, that number is going to be 7700 because we are talking about a car. Unclear yet if that means 7700 on the tach but 7900 actual like the 981.

The car will be marketed/called a 718 GT4. Unveiling on July 18 seems a bit aggressive so I don't think that's it.
