a. If I actually answer directly any of those questions, this thread will die instantly.
b. If I actually answer directly any of those, someone will get fired.
c. If I actually answer directly any of those, I will not be back at Weissach ever again. And I want to go back, might be as soon as October.
d. If I actually answer directly to any of those, I will be in direct breach of the NDA.
e. At times I might violate the spirit of the law, but I won't break the letter of the law.

thanks for all the insight, I’ve seen all I need to see. Next GT4 will be great... but we all knew that regardless

widowmaker = turbo
maybe referring to the footage we saw of that camoed racecar with the turbo engines, rumored to have 700 bhp or more ...

I think by now we know that there's a GT4 and RS in the pipeline.
The question is how will they roll this out?
I was thinking that they may rollout the GT4RS first?
Is this not how they did the GT3 for 1st year and then the RS was next car?
This would allow the current GT4 owners to sell their cars to others and get the RS.
After all most of us are tracking our GT4's which Porsche likes, and they will reward us with the RS next.
At least this is what my hopeful thinking is.
Although my dealer says the GT4 will be first, and then six months later..... They may rollout the GT4RS.

GT4 and Spyder will be 1st. GT4RS is still 50/50 from what Whoopsy said. My guess is it would be extremely limited if it’s as good if not better than a GT3. IMO owning a GT4 will not get you an allocation, will need to be higher up the totem pole.

time to go buy a damn Macan

Race Car
What seats should I get?
Can I get one with back seats?
How about one with no wing?
What color deviated thread won't make my butt look fat?
How much leather is too much?
Does the carbon fiber on the dash match the weave on the seats?
How high will the ADM's go?
Why can't I get one?
Did I forget any important issues to consider?
I know - there are no stupid questions. But there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots!

Very entertaining indeed. But on a serious note, your insights although somewhat cyptic makes rennlist an interesting forum to come back to. Even if my interpretations are completely out of line, really appreciated that you took the time to bestow some inspirations in all of us...it is definitely more fun than getting the answers straight up...

Just pay over. It's gotta be cheaper than buying a Macan and eating the depreciation. And lets face it, the dealer will want you to buy 4 of them.
Homologation.
Sounds like reveal at Paris.
"The race car version which I am most interested is going to be a evolution but will be competitive with competition from the cheater cars from McLaren and AMG. Without the extra weight of useless stuff for the class like snails."
Why didn't he just say, "the engine in the car is going to be a evolution...."? Why did he differentiate "the race car version"? Could the street version be turbo, but the "race car version" not have the snails (turbo's)?

100% agree, Whoopsy. But I have to say that, apart from the NDA issue (or more probably due to it), the way you’ve chosen to entertain us is making this whole thread almost as fun as driving my 981 Spyder…
Almost…
But guys, isn't this thread miles better than those 'what's my car worth', 'what's the best way to keep re-sale value high' junk threads?
Almost…
