I'm Tony, a friend of TomR's here in Albuquerque. I'm going to try to finish up my project and join you guys tonight. Oulton Park with the SR8?

correct, Oulton Park (no chicanes!) with the SR8.

Patrick Long will be joining us, and perhaps Matt Halliday (former GT1 World Championship driver) as well.

Great turn out. Unfortunately I paid for some slopiness in turn 3 and had the world's longest tow and repairs. Still a good time! Hope to see everyone next week, just need to figure out what track and maybe a car change?

Tom, we talked about doing 3 weeks in this one and we came to Silverstone by committee after you left. I just show up though, don't have any sway about that kind of stuff.

This was my best turnout for one of these. There was a full 1.5 second gap between my Optimal and my Best, just couldn't string together that perfect lap. Was the first time I was really able to run with the pack for a while and then I dinged up one of my corner, the same time you did. Was a lot of fun. I've never run this course before so it was a nice learning experience.

Lots of fun, thanks for hosting guys.

One more week for the SR8 (i'm loving it!)...

We had discussed Spa or Silverstone, post race. I'm amenable to either

Great turnout, great race. Intense racing Jochen for the first couple of laps 'til he pulled a gap on me. I seemed to be quicker in the first couple of sectors then he would pull away in the later sectors.

Looks like Matt, Tom and Justin had a helluva race until Tom went off. Matt was incredibly quick, but Justin prevailed...great job! Looking forward to watching the replay.

As always, had a great time!

Cool, no problem with the radical another week, its challenging and that's the main reason I like iRacing to much, takes me outside of my comfort zone to try new things.

Yes that was a lot of fun for sure. Matt was really fast, but made a couple mistakes, one that cost him the lead and the second that sealed it. I don't know how I was going to get by if he didn't make a mistake. I'm not sure why Matt struggled so much on the opening lap, but it seemed like it was causing trouble for Tom and Patrick behind me. It's a lot of fun racing with the pros. It's a completely different (and exciting) way of being a fan of the sport.

I'm going to need to put in more practice time so I can build up more consistency at Oulton. Like Nathan I was way off my optimal, which is a sign that I'm very tentative. I think I lost a second every time I went through that last sector when Halliday was catching up to me.

As for next week, Silverstone also gets my vote as there's less stuff to hit when mistakes happen.

I vote silverstone because it is shorter and more technical, and with spa we will all be racing by ourselves within the first 5 minutes

Silverstone Grand Prix configuration, yes?

Yeah, Zolder is a must do...I've got it. Would be great with the Lotus or Dallara
