Diesel Cayenne and VW emission issue
#4606
Just got mine back today (2014), got a full detail from them, emissions repair + 30k service. Paid for the 30k service. They kept the car over the weekend and they lent me a 2017 base Panamera, which was nice. Was able to convince the missus with the loaner that we "need" a Sport Turismo, lol
I didn't ask for a 50% check upfront, I figure I'll take the lump sum at the backend. Anybody has an idea when the check is coming? ...and we don't need to do anything else for the check from Bosch, correct?
I've owned it since new, so no issues with previous owners.
Will report back regarding mileage and drivability issues. Nothing so far but it's too soon.

I'm kinda hoping my dealer has a '17 Panamera in their loaner fleet the next time I get a loaner...
I had a '16 Panamera-4 for a loaner for a few weeks when I first bought my CD. Ugly vehicles on the outside but I *still* think about how nice that car drove.

Went back to the beginning and did not recognize some of the posters. But the diehards are:
JRoach, thread starter on09/21/2015; I came in at post 18, PJ Cayenne at post 23, Gnat at post 36, Stronbl at post 46, Skiahh at post 79, Needsdecaf at post 98.
It has been a fun two years
[Edit: Apologies if I did not mention you. I was just reading the first three pages or so]

I received half of the total fix amount, for my 2013cd, it was approx. 9200 total, I got 4600 after filing first paperwork and thought I would get remainder after fix. No mention on filing that original owner had filed, I figured if he did, I would get 2300 at first, then 2300 after fix, right? As far how much do I want, much as I can get frankly. Be it as the head of Porsche electrical division worked on version 5-8 of the cheat for over 4 years. I’m a poor redneck from the south who happens to love porsche and can’t afford them, without working on them myself, I own three, my wife’s cd being the most expensive to date.

I had posted the question about tools to track MPG back when this broke lose. Robotpedlr replied with a device from automatic.com.
If other folks have had experience with other devices, please comment.

Just quoting Gnat from 2015 just for the fun of it. How time go fast. I did not get what I predicted, a Bentley Bentayga as compensation.

Oil change and ad blue fill was free if you had a required service between the settlement date and a fix being announced. First free thing I ever got from Porsche. On another note, I have a 2013 CD which I have wanted to trade in to buy a 911 since the day before the scandal broke, putting everything on hold. One Porsche dealer just offered me a super low trade in and justified it by saying we don't know if Porsche is going to make a diesel again and are concerned about parts availability. Needless to say, I'm not buying a car from him.
Some of the dealers are listing significantly above book value saying "Rare" chance to buy a CD.

since this all started, I traded in my 2012 C2S on a 2013, bought a Ram pickup. Traded in the Ram and my wife's Z4 on an M4, and am probably trading in the C2s and M4 on an NSX today or tomorrow! Good thing my wife likes to keep her cars longer. She has no plans on the CD going anywhere.

I just bought a CD last month and with great difficulty was able to negotiate $500 below what dealer listed. Sales guy kept on saying "highly unlikely Porsche will sell Diesel Cayenne in North America again but Porsche will do everything to take care of existing customers..."

Good for those of us that own them. I don't think this dieselgate thing is going to impact the values like everyone originally thought. Those who WANT a diesel will be willing to PAY for a diesel.

So I test drove the NSX. Awesome car, started to work a deal to finish up tomorrow, but driving home I realized I love my 991 too much to part with it. The engine sounds, manual shifting, its just much more enjoyable.

We're joining the party here. We're tired of using shop time to do repairs on our 2005 Suburban. When I found out they extended all warranties 2 years it just makes sense. This ones good to June of 19' or 100k miles.
Flying to Chicago Friday to pick er' up. 2013 65k miles, premium plus, tow, bose sound, power steering plus, big roof, 14 way seats, heated steering wheel, 19" turbo wheels. White with black interior.
We're very excite.
