If I am reading the WSJ article correctly, our CDs have both the NOx warmup cheat software and the CO2 transmission cheat software. Maybe that is why it is taking so long to arrive at a correct technical solution

So should we be hesitant about buying any Audi right now, or at least be extra cautious on pricing? I have been tossing the idea of replacing my X3 M sport with an Audi SQ5, but don't want to buy a car that has a problem with resale value and/or regulatory fix...Sorry for the sort of off topic post here.

I don't think you're reading it right. Though, since it's behind a paywall, I'm not sure how the WSJ is reporting it.

According to the NYT version, it's gasoline engines in Audis. So far.

So not us.

I took a snapshot from the WSJ article that mentioned the reason:

Ahhh. The NYT article specifically said it was 3.0l gasoline engines.

Wonder which it is?

Audi gasoline violations (Autoweek)

Compendium of Autoweek articles -

I hope these associated investigations don't further delay our decision(s).

Since both the EPA and CARB already found this awhile ago, these news leaks are, imho, just part of using the public to reach the final deal at the end of this month. As I said before, both sides have been using the media to try to get an advantage

Goodwill program was extended warranty.

As for any settlement, if it's like the 2.0l settlement, any compensation you get will depend on when you bought the vehicle.

Can't help with a slimy salesman/dealer who lied about the vehicle's history....

Welcome to the club. I believe the VW Toureg 3.0 diesel has a goodwill program but not extended warranty. Porsche only has the extended warranty. I don't think Audi is providing anything to the 3.0 diesel owners.

[Edit: As an added note. Porsche dealers are not allowed, I believe, to sell service loaner CDs that they own. If they said it was a service loaner, then it is total misrepresentation by the salesperson]

Turns out the RMS is fine. There is an oiling gasket issue which has a current Porsche Bulletin on the repair. They had to pull the engine and repair some gasket around the lower part of the engine. Been at it three weeks now and Checkered Flag VA Beach is providing a Cayenne S Hybrid Loaner. Interesting to see that bill!! And kudos to this Porsche Dealership for doing a great job on the CPO warranty work!

Do you know the build date of your CD? I saw previously it is a 2013, but I'd love to know if it was built around the beginning of 10/2012.

What was the main symptom that led to the RMS replacement previously? Your story is sounding similar to stronbl's saga:

http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic...el-fluid-leak/

I saw a similar leak on mine (built within a week of stronbl's) as documented in that thread, but I'm about 32k now and it hasn't returned.
