Aeswave had a sale, jbtools and other online vendors too-and even at around $1300 for the Turbo or a bit more for the Torque it's worth it compared to ROW units-that's the conclusion I came to, but decided on a Piwis instead-

Can you expand on the reason(s) for your choice of PIWIS over Launch?

PS I would really, really, really hate having to learn yet another analyzer after the VAG-COM and Launch but I need coverage for my 992... soon

If you have memory option, you should be able to set radio, mirror positions, seat positions, then save it. Then try mess it up and press the 1 to see if it returns to your saved state

No. Not even jukebox can be saved to start up because (it seems to me) those things are not online when the PCM turns on. For me, it takes 20secs or so for AUX BT to connect and Jukebox maybe 5-10. Annoying as it will jump back to FM radio, which will be blaring loud since the level of AUX BT is lower. I think maybe you can save it being set to just AUX (might need to have a usb cable plugged in the center console).

Quick update on my Amazon Diagun- I got a reply from seller, they gave me some steps to try, then told me to return. So today I shipped it back, 100% refund, no harm done. Waiting for Pro Mini to hit the flash sale again and I'll try that.
JB- I'm not ignoring your post, it's just that I'm not a shop that makes money to be wasting so much on the US version of Launch. Pretty sure the Ebay Launch works fine. Maybe not for newer cars, I'm at 2011.

Last time i got a reply pretty quick from the seller, I'll see how it goes this time.

Can you check on the off chance that it covers 992s please?

Damn still no 2021, are there any salient differences between 2020 and 2021? None come to mind... I'll check your Porsche software version against the latest one I downloaded for my x431 as I can't get anything to work with mine.

Check out mhhauto.com there are a million threads on Launch stuff. I recently found it myself. Reading as much as time permits, lots of good info. Maybe there is mention of 2021 there. Otherwise PW III clone in your future.

Thanx for the tip. Haven't had time, we got 5 inches of snow in 24 hours and more is coming down. Olga and I will be busy, coupled with rain/wet snow the roads are a mess and accidents abound. Glad I put these 2 ton tow hooks on Olga...
400 pound counterweight removed and 2 ton tow hooks installed in July/August. Just in time

OK quick check before I head out of the door showed that on my Launch x431, the latest version, namely: v23.85
does not cover 992s.
Although it mentions that it covers "synchronously models up to 2021" I think it means the models that are specifically mentioned (Cayenne, Macan, 991s and a special upgrade for Taycan). My initial try of attempting to fool the analyzer by entering it manually as a 991 failed. I haven't tried it with the latest update though. I will try that again but won't get to it for at least a week as I've got a bunch of cars for friends to fix and the snowy roads call. If anyone does attempt it, please post. Thanx
