Yes that's the dip stick I bought for CD. Works great, I wouldn't call it a must have but it gives you more confidence then onboard ecu

Hello,
Another procedure regarding the transfer case oil wear. There is a way with the PIWIS to know if it is time to change the transfer case oil. This check is supposed to be done at each service maintenance (I really doubt the Porsche dealers are performing it)
Information
The transmission wear integrator oil must be checked during every intermediate
maintenance/maintenance.
1. Start PIWIS Tester II 9818 and follow the instructions on the Tester.
2. Select the vehicle type and start the PIDT.
3. Select the All-wheel menu.
4. Select the Actual values, input signals menu.
5. Select the T_wear integrators menu. Press [F12] to continue.
Read out the value for V40 transmission wear integrator - oil .
If this value is greater than 145 kWh , the oil in the transfer gear must be changed →
Changing oil for transfer gear. If the value is lower, no further action is required.
6.
7. If the oil in the transfer gear has been changed, the value must be deleted and reset to zero by
pressing [F8].
WIth the X431:
Selecte the All Wheel Drvie module then Read/Data stream
Check the data:
My tranfer case oil has never been changed. The wear indicator is 99 kW/H; far from the 145 kW/H limit.
To reset after an oil change, select Special Function/Transfer Box Oil Service
I did not push on next but I presume it resets the "Mileage Since last Service" and "Transmission Wear Indicator" indicators.

The reset coding part of the procedure is still valid for you then. Not sure it changes the behaviour of the TC management like the « battery change » coding does for the battery management but who knows?

You think maybe the ECU somehow dums down the motor to not output all the power at once but rather gradually in your numbers on TC fluid are high?

For those with the coding tools, is possible to enable Voice Commands? I do have the button on the left stock and when pressed it results in "voice commands not available" message. This is for 2017 PE.

As I recall the voice feature had to be ordered from the factory. Likely due to the factory tendency to not install any wiring for features that aren't part of the order.
But what I don't know is if there's a different turn signal stalk for with/without the voice feature. Does a non-voice vehicle still have that button? And does pressing it bring up that message?
Honestly, the voice feature is terrible. It really doesn't work very well. I wish I hadn't ordered it, as any accidental presses of the voice button bring up the prompt on the PCM, interrupting anything else and then you have to cancel it again.

It is possible to activate voice control with the Launch X431 with a code derived from your VIN (many websites provide such code for around 100$). You need also a microphone and a special turning light commodo. Microphone is already present if you have a phone preparation or the bose system. In the case of Bose only, the wiring to the pcm has to be added because the microphone is directly wired to the bose amp.
