Installed new starter. Checked rear manifold coolant hose or barb...not the updated. Now wondering if I should replace it, that and the thermostat housing. For now, moving forward and going to replace water pump and t.stat
New starter in ...somewhat of a pita
To replace or not to replace..
Do the fixes found in the DIY section..

Tweeters have noticable distortion to the extent I didn't get from the bose. Center is on backorder due 7/20 with suncoast. So that's Febtober the 83rd in my mind.
Regarding the coolant barb; as someone who had a 957CTT I'm guessing you're talking about the coolant jacket at the back of your engine? I would advise changing it if you have ease of access. Cost I know is a factor, but when I had my... Involuntary rebuild I opted for it. When the shop went to remove the coolant line all that held the barb in place was dried coolant. Woof.

Sourced a complete alcantara headliner/pillar setup from eBay, already had matching visors on the shelf.
My indy mechanic installed the setup yesterday/today and it's wonderful. I didn't take any photos of the headliner...not much to see...but it feels so good.
He left a lovely embroidered t shirt in the car for me.
(posting so I don't violate the "pics or it didn't happen" rule. )

I may have just never heard if before. Maybe I haven't installed the covers correctly. They were -noticably- clearer sounding. Anyhow I have them now so... Also ordered new A pillar clips since the top clips are one and done which explains the used ones not working. Woo!

2 new Conti DWS06 rear tires installed today and had the Oil Service done while there. I hit 110k miles this morning on the way to my Indy shop.
For reference, the rear tires were at the wear bars after 23k miles. We're like new again.

I was hoping to install my Exclusiv shift lever today, but after buying it ten days ago via eBay (used genuine OEM), it's been on a tour of many different USPS facilities.... <sigh>
Just hope it arrives...it was less than half of retail, and less than the Alibaba knock-off...

Decided to tackle the lifting leather on the dash this past week. I started trying to recondition the leather on Monday since this week was going to he hot and the oil could bake in; I reapplied the oil each day. I was plaining on re-glueing it in place but that changed and removed the dash panel. It wasn't too bad except the radar detector wiring was poorly done (going to fix it tomorrow) and the PCM shroud was challenging.
Here's the dash out with my helper in the back ground:
I was amazed how much the leather has shrunk; about 3/4 of an inch. I also re-stapled the corners. Here was the set up for glueing the leather.

I'm surprised with how much you took out, that you didn't remove the steering wheel for easier access to remove the dash! The steering wheel is easy. Again, great job. 👍
