I popped out to the shops in the car and suddenly the sound was back😯 Well I'm thinking could be a faulty dynavin unit or the most box that came with it as its intermittent problem. Some other items to point out is sometimes when paired with Bluetooth the unit will freeze unless I turn the Bluetooth off from my iPhone then it will unfreeze also when on radio mode and you press to automatically preset the stations it will only do the stations 11-15!! What about the stations 1-10?!
Other than those gripes the unit does win you over.
I'm from the UK and the sat Nav I haven't really got to use it properly but played with it briefly but I don't think it does a full postcode search am I right? I brought the unit from http://www.auto-electronics.com who I have rang and looking into it.

Well I took the plunge as well and I ordered from J&T last night after reading this thread. My headunit is starting to make static noises when reading CDs and I needed maps for being in Germany. Even with the software bugs as they are, this still seems to be a better deal than 90% of the other solutions out there. And I feel confident that J&T would fix whatever is wrong if it broke within the warranty period. Either way, I will update with pics and install directions when I get everything. I also ordered the GPS cable to integrate the original GPS antenna, so hopefully I can get a DIY up for everyone that is looking to do this.

Can anyone in SoCal recommend a good place to have this installed into my 08 Cayenne S?
What is a reasonable price for install if I source the parts from J&T? and lastly how long will this take? sounds like under 1 hour from reading owner's install posts.

I just install the Dynavin yesterday. It took me only 1 hour and very easy to do.
I am very impress with the system.
I just have 1 question. I have a iPhone 5 and when it's connected to Bluetooth my phone comes on mute and I can't hear when I get a email or text. Does anyone else have this minor problem.

I have installed this unit and so far it is 200% better than the pcm2.1 that was fitted, only issue I have is when receiving calls on my iPhone it seems to be muted??? I am in the uk and ordered it from auto electronics who were very good

Quick questions..

I read somewhere about a head unit/display/PCM replacement that used your Android based phone to help run it? It basically was just a display for whatever was running on your phone..from what I understand. Is this that unit?

Also, do you lose the trip computer and all the custom PCM functions when switching to the Dynavin? Is there any options that keep those functions. I like knowing my MPG's and all that jazz.

Hi it is stand alone but you can buy a mirror interface to duplicate your phone screen if desired, you lose some pcm functions but you can still access the mpg etc from your heads up display between the speedo and Rev counter

How do you find the Nav in the UK? Does it have full 7 digit postcode searching?

I should get my replacement Dynavin back tomorrow with a updated canbus hopefully that should sort out the intermittent loss of audio.
I'm afraid the satnav does not have a full postcode search, Does anyone know that if you can use any other satnav software eg garmin?

If so could someone post instructions on how to install onto Dynavin
