No only 2007 cars were included in the 2007 analysis. In addition to the spread in VINs used to estimate the production numbers, there are a lot more 2007 coupes for sale in AutoTrader, over 60, vs. 30 for 2008 coupes. I've been checking the inventory date at the dealership using the carfax reports when available for the listings and then comparing to the date of the vehicle title. In 2007 the turbos were selling quickly, generally within a month, suggesting a lot of demand for the then new 997.1tt.

Its very interesting and I guess none of us can see the future. I have a crystal ball but it never works.
But with these production numbers the 997tt should hold its value pretty good? Attached is production numbers for 993s worldwide. I don't have anything for US only.

Total of 3722 US spec 997tt (How many total production?)

As you can see total of 5978 993tt was produced. And we all know how well they have been received lately. Obviously the 993tt didn't have as much competition with the 993rs as the 997tt has with the 997gt3/rs? It sure will be interesting to follow,

And if the numbers hold up for 2008, about 1,000 997.1 6mt cabriolets for 08 and 09.

Thanks for compiling this all - very cool! What are the production numbers for 2013? Probably fairly low.. I have one of the last 997.2 ones.

I almost bought a 2013tts, they are rare indeed. Probably less than 200 units.

Final 2011 Coupe Production Numbers and Initial 2013 Values

2011 Coupe
Number built with US VIN >/= 870
Percent S = 53%
Percent MT/PDK = 17%/83%
Number built with MT >/= 145
n=30 (Analysis Complete)

2013 Coupe
Number built with US VIN >/= 157
Percent S = 60%
Percent MT/PDK = 0%/100%
n=5 (Analysis in progress; Not big sample size, but not a lot of cars out there either!)

Graphically here's all of the 997 Coupe Data. All years have at least a sample size of 30 cars except for 2013.
