This weeks update on the 2011 Cabs
Number built with US VIN >/= 676
Percent S = 80%
Percent MT/PDK = 0%/100%
Number built with MT >/= 0 (?/!)
n=25 (Analysis In Progress, 5 more needed)

Surprises?
  • No MT cars found, but only 5 of the 25 would have that possible transmission with so many of these cars in 2011 the S model
  • The last five cars in this analysis with VINs ending in 635 to 759 are non S turbos with black paint and black tops. Four of the 5 cars in this group have black interiors too.

Default 2011 Turbo S

I had a 2007 GT3 which I thoroughly enjoyed. I sold that car and I am looking at a 2011 Turbo S Cabriolet with PDK. Any thoughts? What are the production numbers for 2011 Turbo S?

With 28 2011 Turbo cabs analyzed, here what we can say...

For the 2011 model year, there are at least 676 Turbo cabs with 82% of those the S model, so call it 555 cars in the engine configuration that you want. Nearly half of the cars for sale on Autotrader and eBay are black (46%), followed by silver (22%), red (11%) or white (11%). For interior colors, 54% black, followed by 18% brown and then 11% beige. The most popular states to find this car are FL (21%), TX (18%) and CA (14%).

I hope that helps and happy shopping!

Default Final 2011 Cab Numbers

Number built with US VIN >/= 676
Percent S = 80%
Percent MT/PDK = 0%/100%
Number built with MT >/= 0 (?/!)
n=30 (Analysis Complete)

I didn't find any MT cars in this analysis for the 2011 model year, then again only six of the 30 cars were non-S. Last up is the 2010 cabriolet/coupe analysis.

Congratulations on your new ride! There are not that many 2013 cabriolets out there which makes finding a sample size of 30 challenging. The initial number is 62 cars, but stay tuned. I'll eventually summarize the 997.2 cab data like I just completed for the coupe.

Based upon your numbers (and thank you for doing this!) it seems to me that the 09 and 10 coupe 6MT's are the most desirable (and perhaps collectible) way to go. It really boils down to Mezger or no Mezger. Can it be that simple?
