To paraphrase that old saying "Desire is in the eyes of the beholder", and there are trade offs to consider. As a Friday to Sunday car and learning to drive a stick shift in a sports car, I wanted a MT. If I were to consider a daily driver to work with traffic on the way, I would prefer the PDK linked to the DFI S model.

In terms of collectibility, the analysis performed helps to answer at least the supply question, as for future demand time will tell. Until then I'll enjoy our rides.

Problem with TT, Mezger or not, it that ALL of the future Porsches, possibly GT variants too, WILL BE Turbo! Meaning that Turbo cars will be quite the norm. Hence, TT values have actually hasn't kept up as much as other cars like GT3 or even some of the Carreras. If one is looking to hold a car, it must be naturally-aspirated, as those will be fewer and fewer in the coming year!

Actually i see the opposite with the Mezger turbo, all others will be generic turbo motors the mezger will be special. I do agree though some of the mystique will be gone in the 991 top shelf Turbo, its a hard sell when there all turbos. GT3 is the definite one to have and hold!!!!!

I believe that future turbo Carreras are 4 cylinder turbos. To me, future 4 cylinder 911's just became modern day 912s

Or maybe it will stay flat six with smaller displacement.

Default Minor update to 2013 cab information

2010 Cab
Number built with US VIN >/= 282
Percent MT/PDK = 0%/100%
Number built with MT >/= 0
n=8 (Analysis In Progress)
No Change from 8/14/15 post because of the limited number of cars for sale

2013 Cab
Number built with US VIN >/= 102
Percent S = 67%
Percent MT/PDK = 17%/83%
Number built with MT >/= 17
n=6 (Analysis In Progress)
One additional car found since 8/14/15

This is a rare turbo if you are looking for the last year of the 997.2 cabriolet with a MT
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...09312205&Log=0

Trying to compile the 2010 and 2013 cabriolet information is proving to be difficult with so few cars available for sale. The cars that are for sale are not selling either over the last three weeks.

I'll take one last pass at compiling additional data for these two model years next month, then put an end to the analysis. On the positive side with so few cabs apparently produced in 2010 and 2013 the samples taken are a relatively high percentage of the total cars available.

Not so easy to extrapolate and thank you again for your efforts. Looks like approx. 69 or so US spec. 13 TTS cabs. were made. Seems like a small number until you look at US spec unit figures for a super rare car like an 05 GT2 (5 or so US spec. units).

Default Finally Update for 997 Production Numbers (2010 and 2013 Cab)

2010 Cab
Number built with US VIN >/= 282
Percent MT/PDK = 0%/100%
Number built with MT >/= 0
n=9 (Analysis Complete)

2013 Cab
Number built with US VIN >/= 102
Percent S = 70%
Percent MT/PDK = 10%/90%
Number built with MT >/= 10
n=10 (Analysis Complete)

Compiling the 2010 and 2013 cabriolet information was difficult with so few cars available for sales. As a result, I stopped collecting data before reaching a 30 car sample size.

Congratulations! Lots of leather and deviated stitching on the option list. Sounds like a very well optioned 997TT 6MT with super low miles.

Great find. Enjoy in good health!

I forgot to mention, I miss my 2009 997TT 6MT. It's a great platform & the last year of the great GT1 Mezger engine mated with the 6 speed MT.

Your new toy is s great investment. Will only appreciate in value!
