As a Canadian if you thinking long term...US car is actually better.

I would think so as well. US is a much bigger audience, and from what I see buyers in the US are more likely to buy a US spec car in Canada than a Canadian spec car in Canada.

Looks amazing! Wonder what the history is on this one (clean, low miles, additional 100K warranty)?

The delta between a Canadian car vs. US car is not $30k. Under no circumstances is the Craigslist car in question a $140k CAD/$110k USD car.

Doubtful. There's enough sophisticated Porsche enthusiasts in Vancouver/Calgary/Toronto which makes it likely that your Canadian-spec GT car will stay in Canada if and when you decide to sell it.

Many in the classifieds have a tough time selling in relation to their US counterparts telling me the demand isn't there for Canadian carts in relation to the US examples. Great example is this car which was a nice example but sat and sat and sat

...And eventually I got sick of seeing the post and bought the car.

The cars location was the main reason it sat on the market - Quebec is like a foreign country to most Canadians, just as many Americans don't want a Canadian car most of us don't want a Quebec car. If that 997.1RS was located in Vancouver it would have sold within a couple weeks at/near asking price.

I flew out to see it before purchasing, anyone else that wanted a well kept 9971.RS at a reasonable price should have done the same.

Beautiful car - awesome price. I kept day dreaming about that one (have a white .1 GT3 myself). My SharkWerks 3.9 is going to keep me in my car forever, I suspect, but I will always have wide body envy

I would have looked at it more seriously but his Canadian ads had it listed for $195,000

I set my new 991 RS aside after delivery trying to decide what to do and I think I've settled on a 997 .1 RS as a replacement . Black or green with low options . Looking through some of the on-line VIN lists it seems a lot of green cars were loaded up , but don't know if that is truly representative of the actual production ? In a perfect world I'd come across a car with very few options - and like my 991 RS , radio delete . I think I've only seen one of those over the years and it was green . If anyone can fill me in please chime in .
Thanks

^ the green as you specified with low miles are >$300. if that's acceptable, they do exist.

^ Thanks Mooty - I've seen them in the 250-300 range myself . Not sure I like the color that well to spend an extra 75 - 125K over the others . For me I'd go 964RS at that price point .
