I just bought my wife a nice two-tone rose gold Datejust while we were in Tulum Mexico a few months ago. I told them to keep an eye out for Daytonas or SS sub or GMT. She comes back a month ago with a Panda SS Daytona. ****. I said I'll fly right down. That's the only way I can get it. They would not ship. Well it's a $10-20k profit I could make. She says do you want another watch? I said maybe. Wrong answer. Should have bought a second watch right there. ****. It got sold to someone else.

I spent 10 years working back end of high end car dealerships. I know how it goes lol.

I put a deposit on another car about an hour later that checked all my boxes.

 

Wow, congrats! Hard to find a SS Daytona from an AD. Bought my Z series White and Black ceramic in the secondary market.

Congrats! For what? I didn't get it! I didn't play it right. Live and learn. I have some Zenith SS 16520 Daytonas locked up for later years. Must admit while I like the way the new ones look, I love the Zenith El Primero.

 

want to bring this car back up - Does everyone here think that the ONLY reason this car sold for $92.5 (+ fees), with only 14k miles and $120k original MSRP,... was because of a rear quarter paint blend?
... comments dismissed the 26 Range 1 DME hits over 150 hrs prior,... so that doesn't seem to be enough reason.

I sold three watches (panerai, chopard, GS) this last year to help fund for the gt3. The sub I will never sell as that's a keepsake for my boy as well as this future gt3. Would love to add a Daytona or the holiest of grail watches for me - the Patek nautilus

 

I’m sure the paintwork factored into the result, but also May 2020 pricing.

 

If you look at BAT the one that just sold for $120k is an outlier. Most all of them sold for under $100k

I'm so dumb when it comes to this stuff as I thought you bought a Ferrari Daytona (actual car) and the price doubled in a year. I'm like, "Wow, this guy doesn't mess around!" Then there was some talk about an Omega thingee and I'm thinking, "Is that some type of British kit car?"

Anyway, I'll stick with my Apple Watch that my wife bought me for Christmas which I still can't figure out. And yes, your assumption is correct, I don't own any PDK cars. Not because they aren't amazing, but because I'm too stupid to figure out how not to shift.

I’m doomed. 100% certain now. There’s no turning back. I lived in Vienna for 2 years during grad school and due to my friend group I became absolutely captivated by two things; Porsche and Rolex. I’ve been madly on the hunt for a Sea Dweller, either a 16600 or maybe a 116600 for the right price, but kinda set my sights higher and said I’d skip the watch n go for a 997 gt3. I’m aware I jumped a few levels there, but here we are. I came here for the 997, and here we are talking Rolex. I’m in deep ****.

 

Ahh crap. Thanks! I missed that it was from 2020,... and just assumed it was May 2021 because my Appraisal used it as a comp reference,... which brought everything down.
