I would be interested in hearing a bit more about your car, what would be the best method to chat with you?

Hey I woke up the thread!

I guess is best to know that I don't need or feel compelled to sell it, but I would sell it... so the guys already asking if I'll take $120k... you might be a bit off lol.
No stories, I'm the typical guy with no time and a wish list of things I'd like to do in my life... tracking this GT car being one of them.

So no track days... I only run 92 w/92 dundon tune, new plugs 5k miles ago, 7 year old PPF on the entire front I'll probably replace with XPEL because I can see it aging. Rev 1's were simply from bouncing the tach off the limiter, not from downshifting. I love the exhaust tune of the Dundon Street headers I put on, which can be swapped back easy enough. I have both types of seats because my wife likes 18-way, though she doesn't ride in it anymore so I put the passenger carbon seat in. Condition I would say my carbon seats are 8/10 and my 18-ways are 10/10, both alcantara.

Lots of parts still in the box waiting: Full Guards LSD, Essex J-hook rotors/pads, Cantrell Cage, 4 x Forgeline + Toyo Proxy R888, new waterpump+Belts+Coolant expansion (I could just crate all this up for the next enthusiast, **** if you have the $ I can just pack the car up in my new Criterion enclosed trailer 'took 8 months to get' and you can take the whole shebang)

2008 997.1 GT3 RS Clubsport for sale in Germany on elferspot.com. Nicely optioned and very low miles.

IMO this Clubsport version should have been available in the USA - But it wasn't, thanks to the idiot politicians in D.C.

Just got a 997.2 GT3 with a clean DME report (no over-revs), but based on Wonderdan's post above, I'm concerned I've got the incorrect understanding of what causes range 1 over-revs on a 997.2 GT3 and might need to change my driving style. I understood from a Switchcars YouTube vid that range 1 over-revs for a 997 GT3 start from 9000rpm, so you can't get them by bouncing off the limiter? If that's incorrect, I might have to shift a little earlier.

Well... I bought the car with 3 rev1, last I checked it had 6 and I've never missed a shift in my life... few grinds moving early on heal-toe... but never wound it up on a downshift. Keep in mind my redline is higher than stock with a dundon tune...so I just assumed that I must have a few more and rounded up lol... just bouncing it off casually and activating the light shouldn't kick a rev1. It's my understanding the rotational momentum created on an aggressive launch past the light indicator and your ability to react... meaning your foot may be out of it already but it keeps going.

Has anyone had experience importing a car from Europe into the states? I'm assuming it would be a major headache?

I was in Europe 2 weeks ago, going back there next week. The GT car pricing craziness we are currently experiencing in the US has not made its way there (yet?). You can still pick up nice .2 RSs for less than 150k EUR. I am not sure it makes sense to import yet, but I am keeping an eye on the USD/EUR exchange rate.

How would you get car back into the US?? I would also be curious to source an imported option as the ship has sailed on US GT .2 prices.

Can't stop looking at your black .2 GT3 @Wonderdan, just stunning. I'm not normally a black fan, but if this came up before I bought mine recently I would have been knocking down your door. Hope it's getting the interest it deserves.
