Regarding wheel finish, I’ve seen wheel cleaner cause issues like that.

Also keep in mind that I think those wheels were powder coated matte/satin black. They didn’t come gloss black like other factory RS’ did and then dull.

Wheels and brakes can be replaced but I think a lot of use want a clean no paintwork/ accident car if we’re spending a lot of money. Also if I recall this car has dme up to range 5( correct me if I’m wrong) this car was sitting for a while at 128k and no one bit this past year. Get a PPI. If kdawg didn’t buy you know something is wrong.

The rough 997.1 in black made to look like an rs with red graphics fit this perfectly. Needed some paintwork, had some bad paintwork, had some gaudy mods, but for $86k it now looks like a good deal only a few months ago.

I've sold cars like that. I had an couple AMG's, an E46 M3, an M5, and a 996 (under cover) that I was forced to park outside because I ran out of space. They suffered cosmetically from the merciless California sun and there was no way to stop it completely. And they were sold with a discount .even though they were perfectly maintained. I'm not the rule though. For me, if I saw that kind of issue, I'd want to lay eyes on it before buying.

Ha, I have an 2001 E38 7401on the RV spot doing that right now. Such a great car. So needy though.

I saw this car briefly as I drove by the dealership one day. Personally, the car looks good for my taste. I didn’t see any issues that would have concerned me. Now, I buy cars to drive and not to put away and conserve for the next buyer. I think the car is decently priced and I would look into it if I was in the market.

Crazy, you did it? Congrats. I spoke with the owner and he was super cool. Selling to fund business real estate or something like that. Seems like a good guy. The car will need some love but I'm sure you're going to have a great time with it. I was also looking at it but it wasn't speaking to me like a pumpkin does. Where is me Pumpkin?

Also like to say, nothing better than the cheaper sales to keep the prices in this galaxy. It's stupid what prices are doing right now.

Thanks everyone. I know the Cross car isn't collector quality. But I'm no collector and I plan to track it. So it was a good fit for me. Plus I got some fun mods as well to do. I will creating a journal so everyone can follow along.
