The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...

Front lip looks pretty normal to me although slightly more worn than normal. Nothing that would concern me too much, I would look more at the front bumper which seems to be ok given the PPF. What you will notice is the rotors are worn. There are cracks originating from the drilled rotors. They aren't extending to the other holes, so maybe not bad enough for replacement but the car may have seen some track time. I would want to check underneath for ***** of rubber or other signs of track use. The cars are well suited for the track so I wouldn't be super concerned.

Looks like a good car overall. Always though silver looked good on gen 1. The paint meter photos where it was reading 11.5 are hard to tell where exactly on the car they were taken. If it’s on the front fender with clear bra, this makes sense... otherwise iffy if it’s on the quarters on actual paint.

Too bad Porsche press cars don’t come with more horses in the rear like Ferrari’s 😉
If I recall correctly, one of the press car (997.2RS) was doinked by none other than Richard Hammond at VIR and fixed up / CPO’d by Porsche.

From my Google-Fu exercise, basically some extra effort was put into making sure the quality of fit and finish was high. They want to make sure the person reviewing the car got a perfect example.

This is my understanding too. On the 991 cars, there are plenty of them that have been used at the Experience Center without a code, so it seems to be less useful now. If you find a car that was auctioned off from Georgia and has a couple thousand miles on it all the way up to 10k miles, it was probably used at the Experience Center. It also potentially could have been an Executive Car in ATL, but some of those have dealer service records from one of the two ATL dealers, since they would have been serviced for routine things like tires while the executive was using the car.

Anyone see this special RS? Amazing spec. I'd love to own it, just a bit out of reach.
