Don't sell the best car ever! I understand not enjoying it as much around town but it was never meant to be an around town car. It's a special sense of occasion when you bring out the 997RS (coolant pipes and all)!

For those interested, my car is going to be posted very briefly and if it doesn't sell quickly ill be consigning it. It will be stock other than a PCCM+, center bypass, RSS dog bones and rear toe arms. Can come with stock wheels w/ PS4S' or the E88's w/ Cup2's for extra.

Maybe a high mile .1 non RS with some prev paint work and a .2 rs gearset is more suiting for me HAHA.
I met an owner who had a pristine low-mile .2rs and sold his car while purchasing a .1rs with very high miles, paint issues, and issues on the carfax...he seemed to be happy with the more worry-free experience at a fraction of the cost. No more stressing about rock chips and door dings they were already on the car.

This is my issue with street cars in general. If i have to "commute to fun" might as well commute to a track and drive a race car.... buy a 7.2 cup car after you sell the RS.

HA I've been looking for sure. Hard to find something that checks all my boxes and is in budget in those areas though.

I'd love a cup car but I have a dedicated track car and hardly use it enough to justify its existence. Especially since some days it's just more fun to take the RS to the track with how simply and easy it is to just load on the trailer, check tire pressures and rip.

so why are you still shopping for a car if you have a deposit on one?

Because a deposit doesn't mean a closed deal (in anything) and I often put deposits and do PPIs on cars sight unseen, buy them sight unseen. But the PPI has to come back super clean. And as it happens to be, this one didn't PPI how I expected it to, so I passed. $1K loss is just the cost of doing business to search for the right car. So I am still in the market for that right car.

That $1,000 doesn't have to be a complete loss. Can you post up the PPI results and the vin along with it? Heck ya never know, maybe the seller will call you back and offer the $1,000 refund if you delete the post. Go one step further and post up the seller of the car.

Good luck with the search!
