Interesting. Any pics? What option code is mentioned on the build sheet for factory rear seats? Had never heard of that before.

Hmm, I didn't think the proper mounting points were there on a .2. The .1 had them from what I read which makes retrofitting not such a big deal, but never saw a factory option.

VIN and pics would be appreciated.

Never saw it as a factory option either. I know there were a number of people that added them. Would be curious to see the VIN and build sheet as well.

Not sure why track or project car build.
Drive it as is another 84k miles or until the engine goes boom.

^^ The track or project car would have been my intentions for the car as I am also possibly looking for a dedicated track car build that is still street legal and doesn’t have to be trailered to and from the track.

I don't think so Tim.

One, Porsche couldn't even get a harness bar approved by the NHTSA. Doubt they could get a rear seat.
Two, I once had a rear-seat delete Aston Martin that was originally a 2+2. Because of the NHTSA they couldn't do it from the factory, the guy had to buy it, register it in the USA, and then ship it back to Aston Martin Works to have it done.
Three, I've run all the VINs that are black or basalt black with PCCBs, Buckets, and Axle Lift and none of them have anything "extra" or custom on the build sheets, with the exception of two black cars which have blank build sheets which may have been press cars.

I'll be happy to be proved wrong on this, but I have never heard of such a thing and don't believe it's possible with US restrictions.

I sincerely apologise gents. The car has a bunch of exclusive options, and I thought the rear seats were also some type of exclusive option, but from talking to my friend, those were put in later after the car was purchased. Also I got the color wrong, it's white.

Imagine having the rear seats and a roll bar lol. I know my kids would love it and hold onto the roll bar like they were on a roller coaster!

As long as they're wearing racing helmets back there

I think this is very unlikely.

Even a racing helmet would hardly be enough.

Love the rear seats, I would have been a buyer. Where is the car located?
