.... and therefore if you guys are also suggesting that because pcar market is less attended than BaT, and thus presents major opportunity for buyers since there are less people to compete with & drive prices up,... then YES I AGREE!!!
hahaha,... what a great country we live in ,... cep't now of course,... since we're all on lockdown & in pandemic mode. geez I never said I was completely 100% optimistic.

I disagree about the opportunities there. They are still allowing similar reserves, you just end up seeing way less bidding action, way fewer comments, and the same unsuccessful outcomes. At least that has been my impression from the few auctions over on PCM that I have seriously followed. It feels like they need a lot more adoption before it will be a true competitor to BaT.

I don't think better deals are tobe had on Pcar market, all the failed auctions just get tossed in teh deal tank. Not that's a place I think one may be able to negotiagte a good deal as there is no time constraint anymore.

Our red 2010 sold, so here's a super low-mileage red 2007 that (surprise!) we've sold in the past. Just had a crazy detail top and bottom + ceramic coating, and a full major service. <10k miles by a hair. $100k Rennlist special pricing.

but
as i said to a guy who recently bought my A4 avant that also needed tyres,
"tyre choice / purchase is way more personal to me than it should be."
I credited him some $$ towards his choice of purchase.

I agree here. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. As a buyer though, I'd rather have the cash and the decision power.

I think the classiest way as a private seller is to say you are selling the car with new tires, that you will have installed after a purchase agreement / deposit. You price the car to reflect it having perfect new rubber, and the buyer still gets to pick the rubber they want. They always could reserve the right to say "I'd rather you not mess with anything on my new car" and negotiate for the cost of the tires out of the price. As a seller I feel like you don't want to look like a **** bag that doesn't want to maintain your car.
