300 miles added in three years? What a waste...

I feel that the market is better understood now, the 3000 mile pumpkin in Colorado Springs is now 164 and I passed on a 5000 mile black pristine car that was 155
I know that color certainly plays a big role, for instance a white car would fetch more and certainly the green cars but all of these have come down to reasonable levels when compared to the recent run up.

I don’t think $200,000 plus cars or certain asking prices are realistic
A 10,000 mile car if it breaks 150 on BAT they have done remarkably well

btw, acsatco, Thank you for the link to the previous for sale ad, nice to have some history

With BAT results on these RSs, you may end up the winner.

How hard/easy is it to rewind the odo (mileage) on a 7.1 RS and hide it?

I thought about this as well, if you plug in a lower mileage cluster does it require programming by the dealer or does it work , My suspicion is it works

My guess is the same software that can make over-revs magically disappear might also make mileage disappear, but I have no direct knowledge of that... Even if so, much harder these days to tweak mileage, as anything beyond the last carfax entry would be flagged as a mileage inconsistency...

Having replaced a cluster before, it requires dealer programming, and even then it is not a simple task. From memory they had to be online with Germany in order to program the mileage (KMs to Miles conversion)
