I know this will make Raudi mad which is not my intention, but I noticed today that….
1. Frog at GRP, 359 ask, no longer listed
2. Pumpkin at merit , 304 ask, no longer listed
3. White collection .1 Rs, 359 ask, no longer listed
Not sure if sold but very interesting !
Time will tell!

The .2 being a “better car” is interesting to me and I do agree it’s “better.” But does that matter? And is that the reason to actually buy the .1 instead?
Logic to consider:
As we all know the Scuderia is the “better car” technically and power-wise over the Challenge Stradale.
And we also now know for sure that the Challenge Stradale is now the more desired model. There was a turning point. Scuderia prices were always higher than CS prices until the last few years when rawness became the new measuring stick.(Way less power , way less tech, more raw)
The edge may be swaying towards the .1 RS as “more analog and raw” may be desired ultimately over technology and power.
Many are now preferring the rawness of the .1 RS over the .2 RS. And I’m not saying by any means the .2 isn’t raw. It’s just not “as raw”. Slight but important difference. (Obsessed garage video of the frog wash And drive, he acknowledges this, skip to 16 minutes and watch to the end.)
Hope this is helpful! I want to be a good contributing member and I am on my third .1 RS. I do change my mind often. It’s ok with me.

Hi Red, lol, I'm not really upset at you as you've been nothing but a great sport with the digs. Wondering if anyone managed to get those vin number to see where they end up. I highly doubt that 3 overpriced RS cars sold in the same month, week, whatever. Maybe another round of musical cars with the dealers.
And IF ALL SOLD , it would be Four(4) 300 plus .1 RS in 1 week, 3 of which at 350+ possibly. Can’t forget about the auction record breaker last weekend. Seems that got people’s attention/call to action.

If all sold, then that's pretty impressive. It's the .1's against the .2's. I gotta say....... GO 1's.

All that stuff about being a "more raw" while technically inferior also applies to the 996 GT3.... Yet we're all here in the 997 forum LOL. At some point people are just going to like whatever they like about the different cars. Could be raw feeling, could be something aesthetic.

I think the raw suggestion is backwards though, the 997.2 GT3 is more raw versus the 997.1 GT3 based on the Cars I have been in.
So if the Car is mostly going to be driven on the street the 997.1 GT3 is the better car. For the track there is no question the 997.2 GT3 is the better car.
But as most of you always state that is just an opinion.

Burning Brakes
But having owned many Mezger variants, the most raw one I've experienced is my current 6.2gt3 that's modified with a bunch of "clubsport" and cup car bits. Makes all the 997s , stock or modded (even a SW3.9) feel civilized. The drive is much more "raw" and more "fun", both under my own definition. But I'd still rather a 7.1rs because that's just my preference and favorite of them all.
At the end of the day, all 7gt3/RS are brilliant. So the gen that you own or plan to own is the best one (for you).

That one took forever to sell. Nice car, but lack of PCCB’s I think made it more difficult to sell. Gonna stop by Porsche Monterey sometime soon to see if they still have that Manthey modified one. Keeps going on and off their site (currently off) with no pictures but hope to see it.
