The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...
I'd probably take a pumpkin with a regear, a 4.0 or 4.1 build and some suspension work and save myself $700k or so. Would be much harder to replicate the DLS experience I'd think.

For the price of a Singer (about $1-3 million nowadays) there are so many cars I would rather have from Porsche or other manufacturers.

Agreed. And honestly if I was looking for a "Singer-level" vehicle I would rather have a RUF, which is entirely bespoke and a carbon tub.

I think the singer is also considered a fully bespoke car but both the Singer DLS and a the RUF CTR would be my choice before a stock 4.0.

The Singer started as a long hood, then on to the coil over era in the 964. He (Rob) stopped doing the "Classic" air cooled in 2022. I saw the Turbo Rob did in England at The Goodwood Festival in 2022. The car is jaw dropping. Wether that"s considered a bespoke car, I'm not sure, but the Turbo he has created is other worldly. This is the next iteration of the Singer going forward. I was with Rob the weekend he imagined the Singer concept 18 years ago. It was a wild dream that he actually brought to life. Incredible.

Singers and 4.0 RS cars help us realize the amazing value in the 997.1/997.2 RS cars at today’s prices. The best of the best at a “bargain price”, comparatively. And built 100 percent by Porsche.
Im not certain that 3.9 and 4.1 builds will be “more desirable” than stock motors in the future. Time will tell.

Thats the think I like about reputation, you can't buy one. Good one, or bad one, they don't sell them on aisle 24 at WalMart...(try aisle 25 lol)

No doubt that stock cars will likely be more valuable down the road but I’m not after investment returns nor saving my car for the next guy. That’s what the stock market is for.
It’s unlikely many of us will take any significant loss on these cars down the road, engine mods or not (though the cost of the mods themselves may be a sunk cost), and for that we should feel very fortunate.

The green 3.9 build that was at Porsche Monterey is no longer listed, assuming sold.
Congrats to new owner if you’re here.

Drivers mileage white .1 listed for what appears to be a solid price. No pics of the car but it has a high msrp with full leather and pccbs. Depending on condition could be a great pickup for someone looking for a driver.

this checks all boxes, but price seems high relative to mileage.
Seems about in line to me. Here’s a 74k mile example that sold for a nearly identical price after factoring in buyer’s premium, and it’s not as nice of a spec:

I don’t think you’re going to find a no accident car much cheaper without issues.
