The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...
The .1 RS’ in white came with no graphics. The car on BaT is exactly how they came from the factory if nothing extra was added. If you wanted graphics or something different from what you see on the BaT car you had to pay extra. Also white was the most expensive color option on the .1 RS.

There were only 2 .1 RS’ (at least here in the US) that were finished in this white/red color combo. In fact white was never on the initial color palette as it was added later on after numerous customers requested it. Isn’t featured in the brochures from what I could find.

correct - my research found the same. I was incentivized to get to the bottom of this since I have just such a specimen.

Pardon the ignorance, but based on the brochure extract above, does this mean that all silver on black contrast cars were modified from original? Or was the option to combine silver with black a later option?

Yikes. Looks like they spent nearly $8k on maintenance. This is what it gets you:
"During the inspection process we replaced all 4 tires, installed new tire pressure sensors, performed a 4 wheel alignment, replaced front brake pads and rotors, and performed a major service including oil and filter change, new engine air filter, new pollen filter, new engine accessory serpentine drive belt, and new spark plugs were installed at the same time. All together we performed nearly $8,000 in services to the GT3 so the next owner doesn't have to."
Nice that they did all that service, that's for sure. But $8k?

I think I spent about half that amount and added coil packs, transmission fluid, fuel filter, brake fluid, etc. Of course, since the booklet isn't stamped by a dealer I am probably impacting the value almost as much as my daily driving habits. But I get to daily drive a freakin' 997 GT3!

I also do most of the above maintenance myself which obviously saves a ton of $$$ but likewise, no dealer stamps. Am I qualified? I spent six years in the Army as an aircraft (UH-1) mechanic in my younger days. Working on my GT3 is mostly a cakewalk by comparison.
