The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...
I actually went and looked at this car last week as I have a car addiction and it was very close to me.
For 20k miles....the condition of the paint on this car is truly astonishing how bad it was. I don't even ppf my cars for the most part, and I was amazed just how bad the condition was. I'm talking the ROOF was peppered (among many other spots)....how da fak is the roof peppered lol
The radiators in front were also beat to shtt from rocks
It has the anchors for harnesses on the floorboards of the driver and passenger seat and you can see the roll cage was removed, as the carpet is cut in the place there used to be one. It was 1000% a track rat at some point.
The shifter plastic piece actually had a chip out of it...
I just came away with the fact, as a track rat myself, and like 50 days on my m4 that has almost 3x the miles and is my 3rd extra car beater I only use when I need 3-4 seats.....MY CAR is in 10x better shape than this thing that only has 20k miles somehow...which can't be a good sign.
I'm sure whoever buys it will love it, but oh man was it rough.
Edit: even the plastic piece on the passenger side that runs right in front of the rear wheel, was warped and messed up....I don't know how you possibly mess that piece up outside an off track/off road kind of incident. ALSO the tires were 12 years old, and cracked so it seems like it was a heavy track rat for the first 7-8 years and has sat for a decade. as you can see the last owner #4 got it 11 years ago, drove it the first 6 years for about 2k miles where it hit about 20k miles in 2019, and it literally has not been driven in 5 years since

I actually did not take any pics, and they were asking 135k which they had literally just dropped from 149k apparently which would have been very reasonable if it was any sort of halfway decent condition.
I would personally get a different car. if I liked it I probably would have snapped some pics and got the deal done tbh
after seeing it I understood why no one had bit yet. Just hope someone doesn’t buy it sight unseen expecting what they see in the pics which look great imo

Just wanting to offer a quick update - the car was pending sale and was sold today, Ken (Sales manager) didn't offer much in terms of info otherwise. Back to the hunt!

Just read this after making my post - seems like a lot of work needed to be done and possible unknowns as it seemed the sale was done fairly quick (I inquired the day of posting my post).

Ha! I had no idea this thread would become so popular. I started it because I found a cool GT3 for sale that looked very appealing and wanted to share it with you guys. Gotta say, part of the joy of ownership is hanging out with you guys, even if I don't spend as much time here as I used to. Cheers to all of the contributors for making the experience so fun!

doubt i would ever post pics of the car without the front lip, as that will only result in speculation. the car is listed multiple times as Guards Rad over Stone Gray, but the last 6 digits in the VIN match in both ads.

At the price they are asking for it seems you could park it if you had the space and money. Could it be brought in as a car that's not licensed?
