Dear David and Mark,

Wanted to thank you both for all your efforts and we look forward to being with you guys in Sebring and other DMTD events this year as you guys run a first class operation.

Kind regards,

Sorry COTA did this to you guys. I know what it feels like. If not for wanting to support MVP and Mark I would bag that event myself. Doubt I will ever go back to COTA unless they change their management and ethics.

I knew they were trying to sell all the dates out. Complete load of crap that was about the number of people on track so they could save face and not admit what they were really trying to do, which was auction track rental to highest bidder.

Still not going to let these guys ruin my fun. Just won't support them for anything else.

Its gonna be nice when fan-friendly NASCAR buys it out of bankruptcy. Then it will be run like Dayton, Sebring and Road Atlanta -- totally accessible.

I'd like to drive it once just because it's a F1 track but then again it's a long drive and do dang expensive of an event.

Due to the economy, possible tax changes and horrible Christmas sales I'm cutting back of DE's this year. I had to cut back in 2012 and hated to do this. So the events I am going to do in 2013 will really have to be a bucket list event for me to save my penny's for.

I hate this for you guys that are doing tons of DE's and had a great planed trip together to COTA....really stinks.

Are there so many people out there to bid for a track day that you back out on a sure thing??? I find it hard to believe that is the case.

I really am having a difficult time discerning what their business model really is. They will be the Flavor Of The Day for a little while, and I guess that breeds extreme hubris in the small minds of some people while they think they are Hot **** enough to auction rentals to the highest bidder. Maybe that is their business model du jour. However, the fact of the matter is that COTA essentially has no motorsports people in positions of top management. And it shows. Before too long, the small amount of demand at their prices will evaporate...and then they will have a decision to make.

As a long-time friend who used to be a SEAL says, "In life, some people are just fundamentally jackwagons..."

Well said VR and many thanks to David Murray for trying. I have never seen any group try so hard to self destruct as COTA ownership.

Auctioning off rentals could be a legitimate business model... if the bidders knew that there was an auction going on. Obviously not the case here
