at DMTD at VIR there were never 30 cars on the track at once. This is never a problem at DMTD. If necessary to make COTA feel better, we could have the marshals count cars and hold them on pit road when count reaches 40, then release as cars come in... we could agree to that but it will never be necessary.

IMO DTMD is the type of advanced DE that COTA should require. It's the similar format that MVP has adopted and what will really be required because of the cost of it. I doubt many will want to pay full price and have to instruct, and I also doubt many groups can meet their bottom lines while having instructors subsidized for lower rates or free.

From my experience during the open track period at David Murry events approximately 20 cars at one time is the average. David has limited entries so this drives the cost per head. Most drivers do a 30 minute stint and take a 2 hour break to review data with the Coach. Very rarely will you see flat bed unless it is a failure needing assistance since the level of driving is expert.

It is with disappointment that we must make the following announcement:

Today, we were informed by the Executive Vice President of the track that the dates March 12-13, 2013 were no longer available to us. COTA stated that they were reserving those dates for "team testing" after having confirmed, very recently, that they were available to us.

We are removing COTA from our schedule and will refund all event payments immediately.

While we understand that tracks have their choice as to who/when to rent their facility, we are frustrated and disappointed by the way that this deal was handled.

David and I regret the inconvenience that this caused you.

Amazing that they would continue to do this however its not really that surprising I guess. David and Mark thanks for trying and for the stress this has put both of you through. Unforgivable and certainly not what Texas Hospitality is normally made up of. Makes me wish they had built the track in Oklahoma so we could blame this on them.
