That is true I checked and re-checked with my agent and got it in writing.

I've been using Lockton Affinity this year for my M3, super easy to deal with, and definitely reputable. Super easy for multi-event policy. I'll probably use them for my RS as well.

Is anybody using ontrackinsurance? They go up to $120,000 max. Lockton only goes to 100,000.

USAA told yesterday that any DE events in FL are not covered. In fact they told me, if I take my car to these events they have the right to cancel my policy.

Geico paid a claim of mine 1.5 years ago (a total).

Ontrackinsurance also has lower deductible and anything more than 3 events gets the 10% discount.

If you guys need information about track insurance, please contact me. Same company that Trakcar and Izzone are using. Not only DE's but race cars also.
For me is a matter of ending my hobby and have to learn how to play soccer if I ball my car.

Interesting about State Farm, but I guess it does depend on state. I'm in NY and just recently read my policy. It specifically excludes any on track activity in both the physical damage section as well as medical.

The much bigger issue in my opinion is the personal liability. I can afford to write off a car. I can't afford to risk every asset I own should I, God forbid, injure someone. In the liability section of my policy there is no mention of track activities being excluded.

state farm is fine but when i tried to get a quote from them - for my 997 alone they gave me a bigger premium than i pay to geico for all 4 cars i own, with same coverage. and at that stage it all kinda died out.

I too use State Farm. My agent confirmed they will cover me on a race surface as long as I can show it is a DE and no racing. I mentioned this to a friend of mine who then called my agent for a quote. Agent explained to them this coverage only applies to individuals already insured (grandfathered in). I just mention my experience to share as I am sure the rules are different across regions.
