Sold!

I'll write that paper, hell, I'll even offer EU$700/day with EU$10K deductible for the first $100K in coverage. I'm just that generous!

Peter. I briefly instructed today the guy from vancouver that bought your car. Made me miss mine. Looks like he will love the car assuming he keeps it long enough.

I use the same company as Trak Car. Can't beat them. Good rates and great service.

USAA specifically excludes all types of track events including even if the track is rented with no one else on it. They use language as do most companies this year of "training for" or "roads not open to the public"

I use the hpde policy through PCA which offers great coverage for Various numbers of events on an annual basis. They offer 15 event packages with a low deductible. Their address for information http://pcahpdeins.locktonaffinity.com/.

Final word on this I unfortunatly know that they pay their claims in a very expidieted way. Lost my car while on the road at Mid Ohio and it was way beyond totaled. They net a very understanding adjusters out who took photos told me that the company would contact me and two days later they sent the total offer through. Picked up my car and I had a check in 5 days. Hope I never need to use them again but I'll be carrying their insurance forever.

Crap. Sounds like they won't cover my daily commute.

I've been using Lockton as well for the past 6 months. Good company, but it's costing me a fortune. I had a pretty sweet deal with my former company. I just don't feel comfortable running track days without insurance at this point. Even a small incident could go over $30k in the blink of an eye. From what I understand it costs $8k just to repack the airbags. And we know it doesn't take much to detonate the bags.

Wonder if the "regular" insurance companies have visibility on claims made through the HPDE specific insurers. If they can raise your rates for being a smoker or cancel you for inquiring about HPDE coverage, they certainly *could* drop you for making a claim through the specialty folks.

In fact, I'm concerned about posting this...and of having my (admittedly slow) autocross times posted on local club sites.

Atypical.

He dropped everyone else he was writing. You're every bit as aggressive on track as the rest of us and run in the same circles. Not to mention your car is worth triple mine, maybe more. Still not clear why he kept you on unless you're paying a significant price increase over last year.

Then again you're fairly low risk considering your car is parked in Champion's showroom collecting dust while you wait on a $300k offer

I have umbrella, but that only adds to regular insurance, does nothing for track use.

Yes, probably atypical but I did help formulate the business plan originally at the http://www.siebkens.com bar near Road America. The farmer bought us a few bottles worth of Dewars, so I don't remember the details. Good times that are missed sorely.

Let my insurance lapse after 48hours while the 4.0 will be as miserable and cranky as me until at least 5 more months when we can hit the track again. I'll get insurance and full clear bra wrap as soon as I book an event. I've never gone more than 8 weeks without track event since 2003, I wonder how it will be the first day? Better take it easy.

Weird to not see the pallets of RA1 inventory diminish..

Stockton and PCA insurance only goes to 100K-125K when I checked 6 months ago, with GT3's and RS checking in next year at 140K and 175K I think we found another reason they will be a rare breed on track.

Well my State Farm policy now officially will not cover me on the track. It has been a great ride until now.

Do you know any other company's beside Lockton that provide track insurance. I got a quote for my wanna be aero beetle and about fell over.

Maybe I can just buy $50k in insurance incase I smack a guard rail and not total the car. Have you thought about partial insurance?
