HPDE / track insurance

HPDE / track insurance
I know this has been discussed often, but I was wondering about possible new companies offering HPDE / track insurance.
The last 2 years I had my '07 GT3 covered by Prosure, sold by Harbor American Specialty Brokers, underwritten by Lloyds in London.
Never used it, so not sure how good it is, but I think reputable.
I was informed yesterday (New car coming.) that when my policy, underwritten by Lloyds will not be renewed when it expires in October.
Cross Post
I paid $4K last year and 3K this year and filled in that I do about 12 events a year.
Does anyone else have a policy from them, or an agent who uses Lloyds?
What are you guys getting quoted now and where?
I know about Lockton Affinity and their PCA program, but they quote per event and I am looking for cheaper annual coverage.
I know (proven) insurance companies that will cover your car on track for instructional purposes and if I can not get affordable HDPE / track insurance I should switch to at least improve my chances compared to Allstate who has it in my policy that they will not cover the car on track.
Thanks!

Are you folks talking about racing insurance or just track day coverage? My policy has the racing carve-out, but as far as I know (and I've relied on legal counsel and our commercial agent) I am covered for trackdays, DE, etc as long as the events don't have lap timers.

Ditto. I was set to purchase HPDE insurance until i called my agent. I begin to explain what I was going to do and that the events were PCA sponsored when he stopped me, said he was very familiar with the PCA DE's, and that absolutlely, 100% , I was covered. He said that as long as it wasn't a timed race and I wasn't being paid to race that i was OK. Made my day.

which insurance firm you with?

Got in touch with them today, very quick reply. $4k for a 2010 GT3 for 10 DE events in one year. Sounds reasonable (versus the $732 I was just quoted for one event I am attending next week with a different firm).

I have Allstate and I haven't asked them for fear I'd see my policy canceled. Who do you have? Maybe it's time for me to switch...

Look in your policy under "Physical Damage Exclusions". It will specifically exclude "preparation for or competing in a contest, or timed event." Which does not exclude DE's, however, some policies have added language specifying losses which occur on a closed circuit used for racing.

USAA (United Services Automobile Association) will cover a non timed event. Since they are not specifically covering you for HPDE, they can can drop your vehicle if you have three claims on the same vehicle.
Fortunately I have not had to test it out but I did ask underwriting these specific questions and they said I am covered. My premium on the 996 GT3 is $630 per annum on a policy of several vehicles.

I only do DE events, and I seem to recall the language being vague in my policy. I'll go have another look.
Good to know about USAA, I have a rather nervous friend who wants to DE his 996 C4S and thinks he needs separate track insurance.
