Can I have some feedback on this listing please:

https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/6110214876.html

How worried should I be that it required a new clutch before 55k mi? What do you think a reasonable price would be? I'm thinking more like $39k. It's local to me so that's worth a bit since it's pretty rare that one pops up, so I'd be saving my self at least a grand or two worth of expense and hassle over an out of state sale.

Thanks

QK

I'd ask the seller about it, but wouldn't worry too much. Assuming a good PPI & clean carfax, 39K seems about right. There are cheaper 997s, but I'd much rather spend a little extra for a car like that then "save" 5K on a something with little or no known history. Happy hunting.

A new clutch at 55k is not unheard of. I think you would have a hard time getting the guy to come down that much on price. But he might in time.

Agreed, $39k seems about right. Cars on this board at 45k miles are going for around $40k, a 997.2 C2 (same performance but with key updates) a bit more, low 40's. With the time of year however, and lack of inventory, I bet he is able to sell it for more than $39k.

Price seems a little high especially given the color which is very common and easy to find. PSE is not all that common and a nice option to have. The pricing may reflect the warranty which would be several thousand so if you were going to buy one anyway this might be a good deal at around $40K if it checks out. If you weren't going to buy a warranty you can probably find a similar car in the mid to high $30s, especially in silver or black.

Saw this earlier today...

http://locator.porsche.com/ipl-custo...ails.ipl?cid=2

Price looks pretty awesome, especially for a PTS 2 owner car. Looks like service history is probably available from the dealer according to the CarFax.

To get a postable link on the Porsche website you need to click a random one of the icons on the right (tooltip says "get shareable link or somesuch).

No, I think it was just classified "special" for a while during 997 times, aka $2500 or so.

Not a bad car. Manual turbo cab.

High miles and seats are kind of worn. Lots of random expensive options. Supposed to be one owner.

The black on the wheels is probably not original.

$58,995 @ 69,071 miles, down from $154,780 msrp

VIN: WP0CD29918S708241

69,071 miles, $154,780 msrp, $95,785 loss, 38.12%
$1.39/mile, mile factor 0.870/10k
$903.54/month(w), age 8.8 years (106 months), factor 0.897/year, 7,823 miles/year (warranty)
$890.56/month(p), age 9.0 years (107 months), factor 0.898/year, 7,711 miles/year (production)

3 owners and it doesn't seem it has seen a Porsche dealer since 2014 (owner 3).

Low miles are nice but I can't see it as special enough to spend so much money on a 2006 coupe.

Yeah, but it's only but on ~1k mi in the last 3 years too. Which I guess you could interpret as a plus or minus too.

I agree. It looks like a nice car. IMHO it would be a nice purchase for less than $40K.
