I requested to see better pictures of the sea blue interior. That is my only hesitation. I also found this one but thought it was weird coming from a mazda dealer.

I’ve been watching the 07S at Morton Mazda as well. They may have bought it at an auction or perhaps someone traded it in. Not a bad price for an 08S with low miles, but sport chrono is the only notable option. I’ve seen better deals. At $44k I would bite but doubt they’d go that low.

If this is not a scam, this is a killer deal. Amazing spec, 22k miles. I reached within hours of being posted, but I haven’t heard back after three emails so I’m guessing too good to be true. Either that or someone beat me to the punch.

Wow, I'm a little surprised at the reaction to the interior. When I bought my Atlas Gray turbo cab, I hardly gave any thought to the fact it had a Sea Blue interior. I do hate gray interiors, despite having had one in the past, but to my eyes the Sea Blue is far richer and more interesting than black. In real life, mine is very dark. The blue is more of an overtone, much like the blue in the Atlas Gray. Admittedly, the colors may be a bit more complementary than silver over Sea Blue, but I would think it would be at least as attractive as black, probably more so. Also, the dash is apparently as dark as the black, so you don't get reflections in the windscreen.

Personally, I don’t like the blue interior. In low light it certainly doesn’t appear blue, but in good light it’s a pretty obvious, albeit dark, blue. Not my taste, but to each his own. Now if it were a special car, like a Turbo or maybe GTS, I might overlook it, but the interior is already somewhat dated on the 997.1 so the blue is harder to live with IMO.

Very nice spec. Manual, Sport Exhaust, Adaptive Sport Seats, Sport shifter (short throw). If you can live with the Sea Blue interior I'd say its not bad for $40k considering it has 62k miles. Carfax looks clean, but not many service records. I've been looking for a 997.1 as well and would've definitely considered this one if not for the blue interior.

A 2006 Black C4S popped up at Porsche of Asheville last week for $45,000. Full leather, sport chrono, sport exhaust. 45k miles, one owner local trade-in. Car looked immaculate. Over-rev report showed a few very recent ignitions in ranges 4 and 5, so I asked if they'd be willing to do a bore-scope inspection. They wanted $400 to bore-scope the car, and I asked if they'd include it in the sales price. They said no. I hesitated for about a day. The next day it was gone. Car lasted about 3 days. Almost the exact same car went for $52,500 on baT a couple of weeks ago. I kind of kicked myself for not having paid the $400 and bought the car. The only reason I hesitated was that it was a sand beige interior, which I don't like a whole lot, and it would need new tires fairly soon. I don't hate the sand beige, but I told myself to be patient and wait for the right one, but in hindsight, I should've gotten that one. Doh!

I almost bought this car in 2018: it was $70,900 back then with 41,000 miles. Decent deal, not superb at $75,000 for a manual 4 GTS: it needed a front hood and bumper respray before they would give me the car. I ended up walking away as a result.
