Your car is my goal. Hold out for more.

If you were within a day's drive of me, I'd consider $50+k today.

The fourth owner issue, as you point out, is the one thing that lowers the value - a little - for me.

Thanks for all your replies and advice. I have such mixed feelings about selling it anyway. Sometimes I wish I had bought a coupe so I could do some DE events. No can do with a can in NJ. Will see what happens now over the next few days. I don't really have to sell, but I know it could get very little use this winter depending on how much it snows. They brine the roads here and sand as well, so it wont see daylight unless there is now snow or a nice heavy rain after. Also , don't want to devalue by selling too cheap. Its such an interesting market. If you never read Rennlist, you would never know.

Cabs are definitely a smaller market than coupes and our market is small, but it only takes one buyer.

I don't know about mid to high 50's. There was a guy here with a GR C4S cab, manual, and it was for sale all summer. It had 25k miles (?) or so, was marked down to $54k or $55k, and I still don't know if it sold. There is no way any C4S cab with that many miles is going to bring mid to high 50's to an informed buyer.

$50k though, to the right buyer, sure.

Higher mileage hurts the value

Some seem to think their 997.2 is going through the roof in value, but it is mostly limited to manual, special coupes like the GTS. Other prices are holding steady, but not going up. I had a 2009 C2S for sale last winter, in a great build, full leather, manual, and only 12,000 miles. It took me 3 months to sell it for $3,500 more than the dealer offered to buy it for. For a lot of people, it is tough to justify paying high 50's for a 997.2 with over 50,000 miles when that is the going price of a 991 C2S manual with that kind of mileage. The people here on this forum that would rather spend $60k on a 997 are in the minority.

Friend of mine saw this car today and called me about it. Really nice build in a pretty rare color combo. Vehicle just hit the market and I think its a very fair price considering the low mileage and options. I am a sucker for adaptive sports seats especially with color matched hard backs. http://www.caseyscars.com/pre-owned-...che-911/297489

Cobalt is a great color; I agree! The price is reasonable, but what sets this car apart is the color, sport seats, and full leather!

I saw a similar one in TX last fall in Atlas Grey with PCCB's, at $37,500. It had 44,000 miles, and sold in about 4 days.

I have been searching for a manual 997.2 vs 991.1 4S or S but I haven’t seen any that are close in price. A 997 with good options is 50-65 depending on trim. Haven’t seen many 991 models that low unless they are base models with poor options.

It has only been driven 600 miles in 4 years. I would be a bit concerned about that.

Carmax had a very nice 991 2013 C2S, $120,000 performance build with 24k miles listed last week for $62,900. Another guy on the 991 forum got a similar PDK-equipped car for $62,500. I have seen very good 991 C2S builds with 50,000 miles in the mid 50's, which is where a 997.2 C4S manual with that mileage would sell. The price premium for a 2011-2012 997.2 to a 2012-2013 991.1, both similar builds and C2S models, has fallen to around $4-7k, depending on the market.

You just have to be patient and wait for the right seller that wants to sell; who is looking for more than trade-in but isn't trying to get dealer retail. CA private party sales are great, as they don't get sales tax credit in that state.

Not a great price (IMO) but if you have been waiting for a low-mile Nordic Gold Targa 4S (997.1), here you go:

no photos of the rear end. The price is almost too good to be true. It is a great color and options package but an interested party should check the history very closely.
