Pair your iPhone with the Tranzit blu, but don't stream anything. Turn the volume up and listen for static/white noise that increases in volume for a few second and then resets to the lowest initial volume?

Trying to understand if I'm the only person having this issue (its very audible during phone calls when no voice in transmitting).

Thanks!
Yes I get that behavior too but it's not static and white noise like you get between stations on the radio, it's more like a soft hiss, but it does increase in volume a little and then resets itself. There's a telephone helpline listed in the owner's manual and they might know how to get rid of it. I never bothered because the hiss doesn't bother me. I can only hear it if I had the volume up really loud for a song and forget to turn it down after. I only hear it when nothing is being transmitted, never heard it during a phone call.

I haven't had this issue either. What kind of phone are you using? Is the Bluetooth volume on the phone turned up all the way? I do get white noise if mine is not because I have to turn the radio up really loud to hear whatever is coming thru the phone. But with the phone's Bluetooth volume maxxed out the radio volume is at a more normal level and I don't notice this issue.

If the phone is connected (iPhone 5S) and nothing is streaming, then I get a high pitched whine/hiss. It can be annoying if the volume is high. It sounds a lot like some type of electronic interference. It seems to cycle about every 5-6 seconds.

I just suck it up--it was less than $100. I didn't expect perfection. I am actually quite happy with the product given the price and ease of installation.

Default Thanks all for th

Thanks all for the feedback. It's livable - just trying to validate my install. I sent an email to tech support at iSimple and got no reply - not entirely surprising.

I'm using an iPhone.

Guys - Those of you who used a fuse tap, where did you connect the black earth wire to?

I've no idea whether it was the right thing to do or not really, but I wired it to the steering column. AFAIK it just has to go to ground somewhere.

Pics on this thread show where I put it (same place): https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...o-a-997-a.html

Could maybe someone confirm that this Amazon link is for the correct antenna cable (2007 C2)?
I am not sure I understand the (for me) subtle differences between the different cable types.
Thanks very much!

I recently installed this on my '07 C4S (PCM 2.1) and used the following adapter which I ordered from Amazon, worked perfectly:

Metra 40EU30 2002-Up VW/BMW/European Vehicle Antenna Adapter Cable Kit-Add CD with FM Modulator:
Amazon.com : Metra 40EU30 2002-Up VW/BMW/European Vehicle Antenna Adapter Cable Kit-Add CD with FM Modulator : Vehicle Audio Video Accessories And Parts : Car Electronics Amazon.com : Metra 40EU30 2002-Up VW/BMW/European Vehicle Antenna Adapter Cable Kit-Add CD with FM Modulator : Vehicle Audio Video Accessories And Parts : Car Electronics

Note the tranzit blu unit has antenna in/out cables hanging from it already so you don't need a "y" cable.

Regards,
Sean

I cannot manage to remove the radio from my 997.1 so have to sell mine, unused.

Comes with antenna socket adapter cables, boxed, instructions, new.

Please PM me if interested.

Yes the directions on page 1 of this thread are right on. Except I have a Cab with Bose which is unique, the sub on Cabs are up front on the right side instead of the back, was simple to remove though; first pull trim piece off, unscrew bolt, shift carpet panel back and out, then another screw.

Regards,
Sean

You don't want that. Cig lighter is constant 12V. You want an accessory power source.
