What did you do to your 997 today?

New LN IMS bearing (old one in photo, still in good shape per the shop), new clutch, new flywheel, new RMS, new front tie rods, alignment, brake fluid flush, oil change, and a few other bits and pieces, and my 05 S with 93k miles should be good to go for a long time. My wallet, unfortunately, is $7k lighter...
But hey, I got a free shop hoodie out of the deal, so I count that as a win! Berg Performance in North Denver treated me well and did quality work.

Plus you got a lot of "piece of mind".

Installed Numeric Racing short shifter and cables. Also changed the transmission oil with PTX while I was under the car. The hardest part was getting the car up on 4 jackstands. The front was easy enough as I have a pair of Jackpoint Jackstands, but the rear took a bit of work with both of my floorjacks. Would have been much easier if I didn't have my truck up on the lift while I'm waiting on the axle work.

I needed a bit more elevation at the rear (until I filled the transmission) so I had the regular stands in the back. I feel safer with the Jackpoint stands so I set those first as they have a wider stance and more positive engagement to the lift point of the car. Plus they're so easy to use I'll have to keep my eyes open for another pair.

I haven't put my car up yet, but I have two Jackpoint stands and two regular jackstands. My plan was to put my floorjack in the back, jack up one side of the car, put regular jack stand in the front, then the Jackpoint stand in the back. Repeat on the same side. Is this not possible, or is there some other reason you found that required having the Jackpoint stand in front?
I now use two identical floor jacks. First jack up the rear a bit more or less evenly and set on lowest jack stands . Then the fronts to desired height. Replace front floor Jack one at a time with jack stands. Check stands are firmly planted. Lift rear to desired height by pumping both sides more or less evenly. Adjust stands and slowly rest rear. Check jack stands. Leave floor jacks in position on rear mounting points with slight pressure for safety.

I'm installing this IPD plenum and need more room above the engine to reach my hands in. The car is securely raised on four adjustable jack stands. How do I lower the engine? Thanks!
