    Hey HenryPcar

I see that you bumped the thread I responded to regarding Bay Area Drives.

I am in a Porsche club that is having a drive to Cache Creek on 4/27/19 and the meeting place would probably be in Fairfield. So far 8 cars are confirmed and more should be confirming in a week or so

Where are you located at? I am in San Francisco.

Let me know if you are interested in going.

    Hi HenryPcar,

I saw your comments on the market place interested for a 991.1 Sport Design steering wheel for manual transmission. I have the steering wheel you are looking for taking off from my 991.1 C2S 7MT. Please send me a PM if you are interested and I can send you some pics

    Cheers,

    - Jack

Back in 2017, bought a 2009 997.2 CS2 with manual transmission. To me, the 997.2 with manual transmission is the last of the driver's sports car. Nothing exotic, but everything I wanted (minimum without the weight laden luxury options) is there. Comes with PASM, 6 speed manual, white coupe. Thereafter took it to Fremont Porsche, Gunter (service manager) gave it a personal health check and reported back with flying marks. He recommended to have a clutch and install the "sports" mode that remaps the throttle response. The sports mode throttle response is night and day compared to what was prior to the mod. I changed the spark plugs, coils, new brake pads and rotors, flushed and bled the brake system, flushed the coolant, change transmission gear oil, flushed the power steering. Now the car has a new clutch, sports mode, plus all the rest of the maintenance and quite frankly it is now better than the day I bought it.
