I drove mine to the lake and admired it from all angles. I thought I was dreaming, then pinched myself. Hey, you really do own this sweet ride!

I washed my 997 cab with my new foam cannon from eBay and my 3000 PSI gas-powered pressure washer. I started with bug remover and a sponge on the front bumper and then brought out the big gun.
I was careful to thoroughly soak everything with soapy foam and I paid particular attention to the fabric top which I thought was fading; it was grey and would not bead water. After a thorough washing and pressure washer rinse, it is cleaner and blacker than it was after a hand wash and 303 Fabric cleaner scrubbed in with a horse hair brush. I let it dry in the sun for a few hours and then used a 6" x 1/2" paint roller to apply 303 Fabric Guard. I sprayed more 303 on the top after the rolling was done just to be over-sure I had plenty.
The top is drying now and looks the best it has since I've had the car.
The foam cannon worked well. I am going to agree with the people who say it's fine for a general wash, it takes the dirt off and the washer with a 40 degree head rinses the car clean. After the rinse, I dried the car with two big waffle weave micro-fiber towels and wiped out the door edges and sills and under the frunk and hood. It is acceptably clean for driving and the process was much simpler and quicker than using two buckets and a mitt.
All in all, I am happy with the results. I will use it on my other cars. The wheels look OK on their faces, good enough for driving this weekend and a DE event next Friday.
Next weekend I will detail the car and prepare it for XPEL Paint Protection Film the week following. The installer is going to do a full paint correction prior to install, but I'll detail the wheels and interior and apply more Ultima to the black rubber and plastic trim.
If you haven't tried Ultima Tire and Trim Guard on your black plastic, including the windshield to trunk cowl, you should. It's pretty awesome.

I installed two 42mm led light in the luggage compartment and in the engine cover lid. However, I just have noticed, that there are particular led inserts as a wholeout there.

Just a few photos of my 997.2 Cab after a thorough foam cannon wash and 303 Fabric Guard applied to my 8 year old top. Can't do much about the creases that are endemic to Porsche cabriolet tops, but I love the new deep black.
