I see your in S jersey, is that F-car the dentist in Marlton? My office is across the street from him. Maybe I can make it out for a ride next time you go out.
Nope, different guy i think, and sure, will try to remember to shoot you a pm next we're planning one. (you ever come to the cars and coffee in Mt. Laurel?)
Wow one day I hope I come across another guy like nwgts who'd offer leather stuff for shipping cost! Your the man bro, cheers to you.. My interior is sea blue which is not so common. I guess another reason why the offers don't come that often.
Ordered a custom wheel from Ledermanz - 997.1 sport wheel based, thicker (115mm), flat bottom, black smooth leather and grey stitching. Looking forward to it!!
Took it to the track! Had a blast at Road Atlanta today... Have a new PR and feeling good about my times, but still need to shave 3+ seconds to feel great!
Went over 103,000 miles this evening. Concurrently, adding 128 oz of water every 85 miles to nurse her home (failed water pump). Interestingly, monitored the water temp gauge (obviously) and oil temp and with OAT of about 55F saw oil temps at about 220F consistently, and water temp stayed strictly at 175F indicated--until it ran low of coolant periodically where the red light would come on saying it's too hot--but needle stayed at 175! Engine also flashes a warning that stated check engine coolant level. That idiot water temp gauge is truly worthless. No trending capability at all. It goes from 'all is fine' to OMG, it's too hot and you better stop!

Cool, I've been there but it was years ago when I had my e60 m5.

I've always suspected that about the gauge. Yikes! Be safe and good luck.

The coolant temperature gauge is not a gauge, it's an idiot light that's disguised to look like a guage. Edgy, your temp was likely way above 175 even before the light came on. If you want to verify this, plug in one of those OBDII readers or a Durametric and display coolant temperature - you'll see much more variation and actual temperature readings of the coolant. Though the oil temperature is more important and is an actual gauge, I don't know why Porsche did this with the coolant gauge.
Changed tires and pads back from track to street. Changed out my front rotor bolts in the process, since they seemed just a bit stripped at the phillips head when I recently changed to 350mm GiroDiscs. They were $0.49 each at the dealer and I got some crush washers for oil changes while I was there.
Anyway, washed it and then also washed out my track wheels, which I think it going to be part of the routine. It's so nice to grab nice clean wheels when it's time to head back out to the track.
So glad to get it clean since I got a whole lot of oil on the front at the track, since I was following some guy who's car was spitting at me for a whole lap, but that's another story...
Last point to make - met up with fellow R-lister, GTS Sully, who is local and came to see a bit of the brake changeover. Nice to meet local compadres!
