What a great Thursday. Got out with 7 other P-Car guys in the North Georgia mountains for a 5 hour spirited drive. With the new Michelin's the GTS got pushed hard. Had a '73 RSR behind me most of the day. He bought the car about 6 months ago and imported it over from Italy. Absolutely beautiful ride. He hung pretty good until we hit some serious switchbacks with hard breaking into corners and full throttle out of them. We actually had to wait to get around a bicycle at one point, just past 11:00 minutes in the video and around the 12:00 minute mark the RSR got dusted off pretty good by yours truly.
Nice job.
My wife wrecked her car last month and the 997 is a daily driver for another few days. After that, front turbo bumper goes on!
One question, what did you use as switched power source for the daytime running lights?
Jeff
Hi Jeff we tapped the power source from the windscreen washers, real easy & saved going through the bulkhead, for now. I will eventually run a dedicated fused wire from the fuse box when I have a bit more time, but now all is working as it should
nick that looks awesome. lemme know if you need help re the rear now
was the wiring easy to figure out? should only be 4 wires per side.

Today I removed my painted lower spiler from the aerokit as it had gotten trashed from parking blocks and the crappy streets where I live. It lasted 4 months painted. Today I plastic-dipped it! It came out pretty nice. Now I can just re-spray when it gets scratched. Also got around to installing the Zunsport grills my wife got me for my birthday...
looks great. I am getting ready to order aero front bumper and was planning on dipping it as well and not colorcoated to body. When it gets totally thrashed, then I'll get the GT3 lower. Was also just looking into mesh grills as well. Can these be installed without taking bumper off? What do they cost?
