New battery installed. Old battery was an Interstate. Sonnen Porsche is a short walk from my house but thought it would be $300+ for a battery from the dealer. Drove to San Rafael Napa Auto parts and all they had were Napa brand batteries. Went to O'Reilly's but the Optima batteries they had didn't fit all though I was ready to buy one for $230. Gave up and went to Sonnen. I asked for a battery and they gave me another Interstate battery that's bigger (wider) than my old one for $225. All good now.
First post. First Porsche, a 2008 997.1 C2S. I had a Pioneer AVH-4200 installed, along with a new 5.1 amp. This integrated into the Bose speaker system, but now I have BT connectivity, USB, Car Play, and more power to the stock speakers (which don't sound too shabby now).
Do you have the ability to control front to back on the speakers. I lost that when I had a AVIC unit installed on my '08.
Got it out of the garage and drove it! Our local PCA chapter had a great run up to Breckenridge yesterday for lunch. We drove over three mountain passes and had a great time. It was nice to drive around today just running errands. Great weather for a cabriolet!
^ Based on recent RL threads, it appears that some people don't like cabs. Some don't like the color brown. I say, post more pics of your Porsche! That's a great looking car. Is the cab top also brown?
