Lowered my base 997.2 with TechArt springs, added front 5mm and rear 15mm spacers, and a Shark Werks exhaust bi-pass.
The TechArt springs lowered my base 997.2 by just less than 1 inch all the way around - perfect drop in my opinion. The stance and look of the car is transformed (I cannot stop staring at 'er) with no change in ride quality. I also think the lowered stance really suits the Lobby's - especially at the front. After a couple trips, I cannot say I've noticed a significant change in handling at all - just feels like the stock suspension to me. Highly recommend these springs.
The Shark Werks bi-pass along with PSE is epic. With PSE 'off', the sound is very reasonable for around the neighbourhood and makes for a civilized highway cruiser. With PSE 'on', the sound both on and off-throttle is just addictive - around town with the windows open the experience is one of a true hot-rod and on the highway, the howl from the flat-6 now dominates the driving experience, just as it should in a proper 911. Love it.
After much planning (hand-wringing) and learning from other Rennlister's posts, I could not be happier with the results from these mods.
Beautiful!! That stance looks perfect imho.
I'm a big fan of the TechArt springs.

Thanks EMC2 - as per my previous post, your detailed posts/experience with the TechArts really helped me to move forward with them. When I have some time I'm going to post my before and after shots, along with measurements to add to intel on this mod that you have started. Thanks again.
very nice stance. never seen a 997.2 with lobster forks either!

Yeah I know they are controversial and not offered as OEM on the .2 from factory but I have always liked them, especially on silver cars. I also left the black and white centre caps as I like the monochrome look of the silver and black theme. Maybe a set of Carrera Sports in the future but I doubt it as I am really digging this look.

Snap on the wheels, springs and spacers. Great look, I should have my LF wheels back from the refinishers in a couple of days for my point two. I am having just the spokes painted black and the lips polished and clear coated with a satin finish, Fuch like.

Very cool. Was thinking of that exact look myself. Just the spokes black will be very nice. Interested in seeing them when you are done.
I just installed a SmartTOP module on my 997 TT cabriolet. What a fantastic mod! It took less than 30 minutes to install. I now have one touch open and close from the switch on the console and I have remote open and close with the key. Love it so far!
Changed the pads from the Performance Friction track pads back to OEM and bypassed the brake wear sensors since I damaged one. No more warning lights and no more track-pad squeel. Saturday I will remove the rotors, give them a quick scrub down with a 3M pad with the hopes that I can use the PF pads for street driving without sounding like a dump truck. I may even get my Evoms CAI and IDP plenum installed.
Had this annoying rattle coming from right rear interior. Had the wife drive the pcar while I sat in the rear seat to locate it. It was the speaker grill. Took it off and added some foam tape to it. Rattle gone!!!
