I'll get some pics up when I get home.
I'm waiting on your Gen 2 conversion - more fuel for thought.
pls do, would love to see.
conversion has to wait unfortunately… while driving to the shop to get it installed my shifter cable snapped. 911 was flat bedded to garage shape awaiting new shifter cable.
Installed Fister exhaust. Love the sound! Just as advertised. Thanks to all the forum members for your feedback on this mod. Made it easy to pull the trigger.
I'm still a few weeks early, but I installed my summer wheels and tires today after a nice wash. I'm not too worried about another snowfall (which is likely) because we recently added a GMC 4x4 truck to our garage. The 911 can stay in the garage if the roads get nasty. Here are pics of the wheels installed and the winter wheels in the storage rack in the garage. Glad to have this done!

The stock wheels are used in summer? Wouldn't it look nicer the other way around?
Passed 40K miles and put wrench to metal. Swapped out plugs, oil, oil filter and cabin filter in my 997.2. Waiting for engine air filters to arrive via USPS to complete the job.
Last week I had installed a shark werks bypass for my 997.2 turbo s. I have a set of HRE 300s on order waiting for it to come in. Next week I will have a vorsteiner kit installed.
Took it into get the windows tinted and the front ceramic coated, before it starts to get really hot down here in Texas. I think the tint matches nicely with the black tires. Pic below makes it look a tad darker than it is - it's max legal allowed in Texas - as there is a sun shade in the windshield.
Topped 34 K miles yesterday. Hard to believe 15K on this baby in 13 months, and I still got the same stupid grin on my face that I did on day # 1….T
I've been researching how to get the new 991.1 GTS smoked headlight look on the 997.2 GTS. Apart from breaking the headlamps....apart....there aren't any DIY options (though I saw there is a new product posted from DelReyCustoms). I didn't feel like melting and possibly destroying a ~$2k part so I just tinted them. They turned out much better than I anticipated and even the wife who mostly scoffs at me toiling with the car thinks they look quote 'bad ***'. At only 8% tint there was no noticeable loss in light output but an incredible (literally.. i don't know how to credit it) difference in the darkening of the inner silver which I think turned out great. So, that's rears, sides, headlamps all at 8%. Fogs will be done this week before Supercar Saturday this coming weekend.
exact thing happened to me on friday. hoping to replace with numeric shifter cable.
is that a numeric short shifter as well ? (I'm not too familiar what they look like as i have had oem short shifter since day 1)
No, that's a B&M shifter. I think Numeric is too much for my needs. But in retrospect, I'm a little afraid this will happen again and I'll be stranded. So I keep wondering if I should have gotten Numeric cables instead of stock Porsche.

Finally cleared the corners! Looks so much better....also got around to painting the exhaust tips. I did the $5 can of 2000f paint. They turned out much better then I expected.
Rebadging will be next waiting on some components.
